My name is Teagan Zingg, I’m 22, I have my undergraduate degree in biology and a minor in english. I do viticulture research with Cornell.

This story was birthed from the maelstrom of contradictory interests, ranging from pirates, adventure, zombies, aliens, genetic engineering, utopic dystopias, biblical parallels and futuristic space travel.

I don’t have anything finished written, but I have been plotting, piecing together, fleshing out, designing, creating, technology-crafting and world-building this massive universe for over four years now. I have a very good grasp of what happens, and the problem is getting it written.

I have over 30k words just in plotting for the first two of four planned novels.

I have an impossible time of making short summaries for incredibly long and extensive topics, so here’s the smallest of blurbs I could muster:

Otto Vida and his family were normal, unlike any other living in the 25th century. A loving mother, a hearty father, and an infant sister, Rowena

But his parents’ past comes for them one night, and three of them just barely escape the assassins and the house fire, leaving their mother dead and a thoughtless desire for revenge in their father.

His father’s past, his connections with the Seekers, a vigilante group keen on taking out the pirate and smuggling gangs in the galaxy, have afforded him no rest, now that the mobs have found him. He remains on the run, and constantly looking for his wife’s killer, leaving his two children, Otto, 5, and Rowena, just about 1, to learn who to raise themselves. Otto is forced to become a sitting image of his father, a child soldier, a parent before he can read. He loses all sense of self in this endeavor his only purpose in life: to protect Rowena.

At last, Rowena leaves as soon as she can, flying off to study medicine when she’s old enough, and Otto stays with his father before he’s nicked by the Galactic Order to be sent to prison for his crimes of fraud, and accusations of murder.

Otto, left to fend for himself, takes his uncanny skills in tech and machines, and becomes a freelance teacher for the less advanced alien race, the Marani.

Now 26, he seeks to find purpose in his life. He wants to find himself.

But They find him instead.

His father’s past catches up with him, and drags Rowena back into it, too.

On the run and following in their father’s footsteps of mindless, bloodthirsty revenge, the two stumble upon a force that nobody is unprepared to deal with.

Otto is forced to make a choice that could bring the whole of the galaxy to it’s very knees.

Mobs arise, pirates terrorize, mythical and apocalyptic forces awaken, and life as the galaxy knows it, is about to change forever.
