SCI/FI with Future and Past time travel. Think Terminator meets the Time Travelers Wife. A Geek and Sundry Inkshares Entry.

Dr. Arianne Celio is an ENT research working on cochlear implants. While on a date with her husband, a series of bombs go off across the city. The two fight their way through the chaotic streets back home to their three year old daughter, Tuesday, only to find their home in flames, their daughter’s fate unknown. In the chaos, Ari is taken by a group of men who explain they are from the future where she is a technological savior of their time and it was their mission to save her from the bombing caused by the Ouroboros, a counter culture terrorist group that is trying to kill her family.

Needing to keep her safe from another attack by the terrorists, she is sent to 300 years in her future where she discovers that her daughter died in the explosion, and in her grief, she created a device that finally connected man and machine, changing the face of humanity and bringing a two hundred years of peace. But as she explores this new world where she is hailed as a goddess who brought them G.R.A.C.E (graphic and auditory cerebral enhancement), she discovers what has really happened to society and how hiding behind this peace is really a void of the human spirit that they fill with technology. And then she discovers who is controlling the technology.

Ari is faced with the choice of staying to restore humanity to an entire planet who all regard her as Mother, or going back to save her daughter knowing that countless others will die without GRACE.
