Fishermen’s Court is both a murder thriller and a "literary" novel about friendship and guilt. It is told in first person, present tense, with a voice that tends toward humor and self-deprecation. I think fans of Harlan Coben, William Lashner, and Tana French will like it. The novel is fully written. It has received some very positive professional feedback. Most readers tell me they see it as a movie. It got me signed with a good agent, who hit all the major publishers. We had several close calls, but ultimately they all passed. I later realized there were some fixes and improvements I needed to make. So now, after working on it some more, I think I have a stronger novel, but I can’t go back to any of the publishers who passed - you only get one shot. I need to find a new route to publication. I recently read a novel by an Inkshares author and liked it, so I’m excited about this new avenue. I’d love to get feedback of any kind from readers and fellow writers, so that I can improve the book and try to launch it successfully. Would be happy to trade critiques.
