2. I don’t really like Nature

And there is only 1 word why I don’t like nature …

1. Bugs

But mostly I DON’T want to start a new school, because It was not easy finding really good friends. ANYWHERE. So I said back in a whining voice‘’ I Don’t want to move, ‘’ even though I knew they wouldn’t in a million years turn back. Apajan (Mom) looked back at me and said a firm‘’ NO ‘’. I shifted in my seat so that I was looking backwards and not at the front because I thought my mom was going to give me ‘’ THE GLARE ‘’. My apajan had this thing with me and my sister, Aliana ( Alia for short ) where if we talk

back she will give us a glare which won’t stop until we blink. I stayed like that until my

apajan surprisingly happily said ‘’ How do you like it kids? ‘’. I looked at my mom and put on my perplexed face and said ‘’ What do you mean? ‘’ she beckoned me over to the window. I looked over and saw our new house. ‘’ Wow ‘’ I mumbled to myself and as soon as I said that I heard a soft ‘’ Yeah ‘’ I looked around startled and saw my sister, Aliana looking up at the house. I secretly smiled to myself. Aliana doesn’t normally speak, and there’s a looong history why. I looked in awe at the house. I haven’t seen the house before now. There was a long silence. Finally my adajan broke it. ‘’So?‘’ He

continued on ‘’Why don’t you kids look around while me and your apajon’’ he looked at my apajan saying this ‘’unpack everything’’ he concluded. My sister looked at me and I looked back at her. I can tell we were thinking the same thing….

Should we do it?

And then we were thinking the same answer....

Yes!

We both jumped out of our carseats at the same time. Then Alia opened the car door, after that we raced towards the house. My sister got their first so I let her open the door. As soon as we came in we were startled. There was a huge clap of thunder. I was relieved, I thought something bad actually happened and it did, because at that exact moment I heard a cry of pain. I turned back to the front door and twisted the doorknob but the door wouldn’t budge . Now I was terrified. I scanned for my sister but she was gone.

Thunk. Thunk. Thunk.

I put my fists up like how I have seen people in movies do.I was ready for a fight or at least, I thought so. I circled around looking for any clues that might help me find my

sister. I kept on doing that until I realized I wasn’t going to find anything unless I actually explored. The noise had stopped. I decided I was going to start with the kitchen. I walked over to the kitchen and looked around, there was nothing there. Then I went to the office and stuck to the wall was a desk. On top of the desk ( also stuck to the wall ) was a mirror. I thought it was nothing so I left the room. I was still looking when I came across a small door. I tiptoed over to it and slowly turned the doorknob. Nothing. ‘’Ugh’’ I groaned, apparently too loud because I heard the same noise.

Thunk. Thunk. Thunk.

‘’Uh, Oh’’ I whispered under my breath. I smiled only because I knew that I had just learned from my mistake. I tiptoed back to where I was before and frantically started to search for a hiding place. The noise was still going on but this time it was closer than ever. It was pretty hard to find a hiding spot since there was no furniture but eventually I went under the desk that I saw before. The noise was getting closer and closer by the minute. I was now focused on my breath, trying to get it to be less noticable. I curled up into a ball as the noise came right next to me. I looked up and saw the back of a robot type leg. After a second I heard a door slam shut. I slowly got out of the table but my head hit something sharp ‘’Ouch’’ I winced while whispering it. I ducked my head and crawled out of the desk then I turned around, lay flat on the floor and shoved myself under the desk like people who fix their car’s do. I saw a box with beautiful flowers carved into it. Apparently my head hit the corner of it which was sharp like a dagger.

I suddenly felt an urge to get out from there but I stayed strong. I pulled the box my way and it came to me except in a way I didn’t plan it to. With a mighty swing the box came flying into my face. ‘’ Owwww’’ I wailed loudly. I rubbed my forehead with the palm of my hand. I felt a really thick bruise. I threw the box across the room ( which was very wide ) and slithered out using all my muscles. I walked across the room( which felt like an eternity) and bent down to pick up the box. After I picked up the box I went over to the living room. Inside the living room there were a lot of chandelier’s lights and over to the right side of the room was a dusty old table and chair. I went over to the table and chair then I blew on both of them. Then I sat on the chair and put the box on the table. I looked around the box for an opening or even a keyhole. The only thing I found was the carving of the flowers on top of it. ‘’ Rattle, Rattle ‘’ I looked up afraid except this time it wasnt the sound that I heard before. It was a different sound, and it came from the front door. I went over to the front door and shouted ‘’Who is it? ’’. ‘’ Aizada? Is that you? ‘’. I recognized the voice. It was adajan. ‘’ Hi adajon. How is apajan? ‘’ I answered with joy that someone I knew was here. ‘’ Not very well ‘’ He said sadly. I managed to barely save myself from shedding tears. ‘’ I’ve called for the doctor to come, I don’t think she needs the ambulance though. But enough chit chat about me, what about you and Alia’’ . I couldn’t help but whimper at this. ‘’ Don’t overreact at this but ’’ I sighed before continuing ‘’Alia’s gone‘’. ‘’WHAT?’’ My adajan yelled. ‘’ YOU WERE SUP- ‘’ My adajon seemed to calm down and then said ‘’ Please find her ‘’. I nodded even though he couldn’t see me and took off. My heart was beating as fast as I was running. My first instinct was to stop at the staircase so I headed there. Once I got there I swallowed hard

and started my journey up the stairs. Each step I took creaked. Each step I took was another minute wasted of finding Alia. When I got to the top of the staircase the first thing I saw was a door with a note on it. I walked over to the note, picked it up and read it in my mind.

By the time you find this note your sister will be captured by me and my army. She will be put in a cell where it is impossible to escape. Although there is one thing that can open the lock, but that is for me to know and for you to find out.

- Thunk. Thunk. Thunk

No. No. No. ‘’ NOOO ‘’ . I heard myself yelling but didn’t dare to stop. Someone young with an adorable voice who got captured once told me that screaming relieves pain. At first I thought she just made it up but as I screamed my whole body was relieved. I was relieved. I took a whole bunch of deep breaths and opened the door. I gasped at what I was looking at. There was no furniture but by the look of it a person was here. Actually no, not a person, an animal. I walked into the room and looked at the ripped up wallpaper. ‘’ Who could have done this? ‘’ I thought. Then it hit me it was none other than a dog. ‘’ There is a stray in the house ‘’ I thought not really sure if it was a stray. I looked

at the claw marks and the teeth marks and sighed, I imagined how much better this room would look if it wasn’t shredded to pieces. I looked around the room one more time then put it in my memory. After my memory was all set I ran to the next room. The door was cracked open to a twenty-five angle. I squeezed through the door trying not to open it any bigger. The lights were off and for the first time I noticed that there was no daylight anymore. Instead there was a beautiful black sky with tons of stars surrounding it. I shot out my arms and walked around. I froze. My eyes were locked with another set of eyes. They looked exactly like how the moon looked at this very moment. I can tell this was a puppy by its eyes.My face was wet with tears. Alia and I used to pet all the puppy’s and at the end we would smell ours and each other’s hands to see which one was smelliar. ‘’ Plop ‘’ I fell on my butt in awe of the puppy. The puppy seemed to sense it. It walked toward me and rubbed its cheek against my cheek. I cupped up the puppy in my arms. ‘’ I am going to name you little one ‘’ I whispered, the puppy held close to my chest. ‘’ Woof ‘’ the dog barked in reply. I thought for a long time then finally I got the answer. ‘’ I am going to name you ‘’

Chapter 2

‘’Woof, woof‘’ was the first thing I heard when I woke up.‘’Hi, Moo ,Wow‘’I whispered looking at the color of Moonshine’s skin.It was the color of a beautiful dark night.Apparently Moonshine was watching my eyes and saw me staring at her body.With a swish she flung her tail at me. Her tail was the same color as her body. I held the tail and put it back down on the floor.Then I hit my forehead wondering if there was a bruise.’’ Eeekk ‘’ I said in my mind. I didn’t feel the bruise.

‘’ Woof, Woof ‘’ Moonshine said snapping me out of my daydreaming. ‘’ You’re right ‘’ I said, putting Moonshine on the floor and rising to my feet ‘’ We should get going ‘’. ‘’ But first we might need a leash ‘’ I said stretching. ‘’ Woof, Woof ‘’ Moonshine barked approvingly. I walked around the room looking at everything I didn’t see yesterday night ( Which was everything except Moon Shine ). For example there was a bookshelf with rusty old books. I winced as a spider came crawling out of the bookshelf. I quickly walked over to the bookshelf thinking why I ever agreed to look everywhere. I looked behind me to see if Moonshine was still there and thankfully she was. Since the disappearance of my sister that occurred yesterday, I have been scared that Moonshine would disappear too. I swirled around and beckoned her to me. She skidded toward me and went in between my legs. I reached my hand toward the bookshelf but before I could touch it I heard a‘’ Rattle, Rattle ‘’ . I took back my arm, bent down, picked up Moonshine, dashed for the stairs and then dashed down the stairs. When I got to the front door I said ‘’ Adajan, are you there? ‘’. After a minute I got an answer ‘’ Honey try to

open the door ‘’. ‘’ Ok ‘’ I said gripping onto the door knob. It was the moment of truth 1, 2, 3. I twisted the doorknob. I had to shield my eyes as a whole lot of sunlight came streaming into the house. I walked outside blindly and uncovered my eyes. ‘’ Adajan, Apajan ‘’ I yelled tears creating a river on my face. ‘’ Sweetheart ‘’ I heard my parents say. Before my parents could hug me they looked at my arms. ‘’ Is that a dog? ‘’ I heard Apajan say curios. I nodded. ‘’ She needs a leash ‘’ I said hoping my parents wouldn’t disapprove of Moonshine. ‘’ You bet she does ‘’ I heard my adajon say a little hint of excitement in his voice. ‘’ Only if it helps to find Alia ‘’ my apajan said. ‘’ You told her? ‘’ I asked my adajan. ‘’ Actually she kinda overheard us while we were talking between the door ’’ . I wasn’t surprised, my apajan has a pretty good hearing sense. I looked down and giggled at this answer as soon as my apajan asked ‘’ Give me your hand ‘’. I looked up confused ‘’ Ummm … okay ‘’ I said reaching my hand toward her. ‘’ Here’s 55 dollars ‘’ my apajan said, handing me 55 dollars, ‘’ Buy stuff for Moonshine ‘’ my adajan interrupted. I grinned at my adajan for respecting Moonshine by calling her Moonshine. ‘’ One more thing ‘’ my apajan said calmly ‘’ since it is your birthday today,me and your adajan decided to get you a little something ‘’ she ended. Then she told me to close my eyes and hold out my hands. Obviously I did. She then gave me a box and told me to open my eyes. ‘’ Eeeeeeeekkkkkkk ‘’ I yelled at the top of my lungs. There was a box in the shape of a phone. Just to make sure I opened the lid and lying there was an Iphone 11 pro. I slid my hands onto the phone and picked it up. ‘’ Can I buy a phone case and a popsocket for it ‘’ I asked my parents, still looking at the phone. ‘’ Sure ‘’ my dad answered rummaging through his wallet. ‘’ Here is another 45 dollars, buy whatever you

want ‘’ he said, handing me a 45 dollar bill. ‘’ And remember to use it wisely ‘’ my mom added. ‘’ There is one thing though ‘’ my adajan said and by the look on his face he was wondering about something ‘’ me and your apajan have to unpack, soo how do you get to the mall? ‘’ . I put Moonshine down and thought to myself for a minute then ran to the car. I put the money in my pocket and opened the trunk and dug in. My parents ran to me and asked me if they could help me look for whatever I was looking for. ‘’ No thank you ‘’ I said I had to say that because I had already found what I was looking for. My fold up scooter. Me and Aliana both have one. I took my blue and white fold up scooter, unfolded it and put it on the floor. ‘’ Bye ‘’ I yelled out to my parents as I put Moonshine and my phone in the front basket. I put my left foot on the scooter

Chapter 3

The mall was a big fancy place with what looked like a lot of stores in it. It reminded me of the mall at Kings Highway. I parked my scooter in a place where you put your bikes and took Moonshine and my phone out of the front basket. I also patted my pocket to see if the money was still there. Yep, still there. I took Moonshine, my phone and walked into the entrance of a gazillion stores. It really was a breathtaking view. For most people. I did NOT like shopping, I only liked the shopping where I got what I wanted. Right now was one of those times. As I walked around I noticed a lot of people pointing at me. I held Moonshine and my phone really close to me. Finally I put Moonshine down and whispered to her ‘’ Please don’t get lost ‘’. Then I raised my feet and gestured to him to go in front of me. I held my phone right by my side and started walking. About 15 minutes later I found a map of the mall. I then only realized that I missed the pet store before. Now I had to go back 5 minutes. I also didn’t care because it would all be worth it. 5 minutes later we were at the pet store and looking around for a leash. We went to the leash section and picked a silver leash to match Moonshine’s eyes. I walked to the cash register and put the leash on the table. ‘’ Hi my name is Lavender, how can I help you today? ‘’ the store clerk said with a face that looked like the face I made when my Alia was taken. I already liked the store clerk because she was not staring or pointing at me. I snapped out of my daydreaming and said back ‘’ Hi Lavender, can you tell me how much this leash is? ‘’ . ‘’ Sure this is an adjustable and stretchy leash, so it’s going to be 9 dollars. I took out my hundred dollars and looked for a 9 dollar bill but I

couldn’t find one so I gave her 10 dollars. She ended up giving me 2 dollars back. When I figured out she gave one more dollar than she was supposed to I handed her the dollar back but she just shook her head and pushed my hand holding the dollar bill to me. I looked at the dollar bill and when Lavender wasn’t looking I walked to where she was standing before and slipped 2 dollars into the cash register. Then I walked back and put an innocent smile on my face. Which was hard because I only smiled when I saw my parents and when I met Moonshine. ‘’ Woof, Woof ‘’ I heard right behind me. I turned around and grinned that Moonshine followed my orders ( not that I thought he wouldn’t ). When Lavender came back she bagged up the leash and told me I was ready to go. But I had one question in mind for her. ‘’ Do you have siblings ‘’ . Lavender seemed taken aback by this question. ‘’ No ‘’ she said in a lying voice. ‘’ Are you sure ‘’ I said back. She sighed and said ‘’ No ‘’. I looked back at her and said ‘’ my sister was taken too ‘’ . Again she seemed surprised ‘’ Mines too ‘’ . I wanted to change the subject so I said ‘’ Do you know where the dog food is? ‘’. She seemed happy that I changed the subject and said ‘’ Just walk straight then turn left ‘’. ‘’ Woof, Woof ‘’ I heard again. I turned around, picked Moonshine up and started walking with the directions Lavender gave me. That’s when I heard a noise behind me ‘’ Little girl, wait up ‘’. It was Lavender I turned around to see that she was carrying my phone and the bag with the leash inside. ‘’ Thank you so much ‘’ I told her when she handed me my stuff. Once again I put Moonshine down and retrieved the stuff from Lavender. I was back at the cash register waiting while Lavender was scanning the big bag of dog food. ‘’ That will be 11 dollars please ‘’ Lavender said. I looked through my money and gave her a 20 dollar bill. She gave me back 9 dollars.

Then she packed up the dog food and handed it to me. I put the bag with dog food and the bag with the leash on my right hand. I put my money in my pocket, my phone was in my hand and Moonshine was right in front of me. We got to the store Claire’s and went inside of it. I then spotted all the phone accessories. I picked a black and white pattern phone case with a matching pop socket. While I was waiting in line I spotted really cute necklaces. I turned to the person behind me and quickly said ‘’ Do not let anyone take my spot thank you and bye ‘’ . Then I double tied all my bags, put them on the floor, scooped up Moonshine and ran to the necklaces. It was a pretty big line so I had some time. One certain necklace caught my eyes. It was a necklace with a silver chain and a silver moon charm. I looked at my money then at the necklace. I took the necklace in my arms and ran back to my spot. The person behind me was kind enough to save my spot. ‘’ Thanks ‘’ I said. ‘’ Your welcome ‘’ the person behind me answered. 7 minutes later I was at the cash register waiting for the store clerk to stop talking with a different store clerk. ‘’ Hello ‘’ I said to the store clerk. ‘’ Oh, I am so sorry, let me scan your items please ‘’ the store clerk said back her arms reaching out to my items. I gave her my items and she started scanning it. ‘’ In all that will be 19 dollars please ‘’ she said putting the scanner back in its place. I gave her 19 dollars and she gave me a cute bag with all my stuff in it. I said thank you, took all my stuff, made sure Moonshine was right next to me and left the store. There were several benches in the mall but I just walked to the closest one which was in front of me. I put all my bags, Moonshine and myself on the bench. Then I got out the cute bag and took everything from inside there outside onto the bench. I then took my phone out and put the phone case and popsocket onto it.

Once that was done I took the necklace and clipped it onto my neck. I took the cute bag and threw it out. I went back to the bench and that’s when I heard ‘’ Woof, woof ‘’. I swiveled around and saw Moonshine right next to me. I took out the leash, clipped it on Moonshine and adjusted it to the right size. I gripped the handle with my left arm and held the bags with my right arm. I threw out the bag that used to have the leash inside. Now that I only had the bag with dog food inside it was much more light. ‘’ Woof, Woof ‘’ I heard again. I saw Moonshine eying the dog food and realized he was barking because he was hungry. I made sure Moonshine was right next to me when I opened the bag of dog food. Moonshine lept inside the bag and started chewing on dog food. After he was done my stomach grumbled. The ice cream bar was a very unpopular place for some reason. ‘’ Can I have 2 scoops of Chocolate chip dough please? ‘’ I asked the worker.

‘’ Sure, that will be 4 dollars ‘’ he said back. He then went to the ice cream making place and came out with some yummy looking Chocolate chip dough ice cream. When he came he put the ice cream on the counter and I put the money on the counter. We traded. Then I went to one of the tables and put my stuff on the chairs. I gobbled up the whole thing as fast as Moonshine did. I tossed the empty ice cream cup into the trash and grabbed hold of Moonshine’s leash.

Chapter 4

‘’ I’m back ‘’ I called out to my apajan who was unpacking ferociously. ‘’ Sweetheart I was so worried ‘’ she said running to me. ‘’ I didn’t mean to worry you Apajan, but at least Moonshine was there ‘’ I said soothingly. When my Apajan noticed me he came running over to me. ‘’ Sweetheart your he- ‘’ .’’ DUCK ‘’ my dad yelled covering his head and crouching. Me and my Apajan ducked. The thing that was coming for us was a woodpecker. ‘’ It is safe to come out ‘’ my Adajan said standing up. I got off my scooter and took Moonshine and my phone out. In the bin was another thing. A scroll. ‘’ What i- ‘’ I said, stopping myself. The scroll was addressed to me. ‘’ What is it honey? ‘’ my mom asked tilting her head toward mine. ‘’ N- Nothing ‘’ I said. I felt bad to lie but this was an emergency. ‘’ Sorry, gtg, bye ‘’ I said gripping the scroll, my phone and Moonshine very tightly. When I got to the room I assumed was mine, I dropped to the floor and opened the scroll. It said …

I am not so smart but I immediately knew this was a trick. Yeah right, I thought in my head. ‘’ Wait a minute ‘’ I said. ‘’ What about the bookshelf? ‘’ I stood up still holding everything. I touched the bookshelf once then twice. ‘’ Ahhhhh ‘’ I yelled as the bookshelf turned into a secret passageway. The hallway was dark and scary. I put my phone and the scroll in my pocket ( it was really hard because of how dark it was ). Then I put Moonshine down on what I thought was the floor. Suddenly I thought of something. My phone. I took out my phone and turned it on. I then put flashlight mode. I turned my phone around so that the light was facing the darkness ahead of me. I knew what I had pressed to get me in here but I had no intention whatsoever to go back. ‘’ Woof, Woof ‘’ Moonshine said her voice echoing throughout the tunnel. I turned the light on her immediately. I bent down to pick her up. Just when I was about to stand up I saw a flash of light on the walls that didn’t come from my phone. I squeezed Moonshine tight to my chest, turned the light to the path in front of me and started walking. Soon I had found stairs. At first I hesitated to climb them but what motivated me was my sis. We had FINALLY got to the top of the stairs and I don’t know about Moonshine but I was disappointed to see more stairs. I groaned for a long time and had to stop myself before I could do more. Me and Moonshine both saw the light this time. I shivered in fear it had long arms and long legs, although that was probably because it was only a shadow. The stairs led to an incredibly small den. It was also very messy. It was covered in papers and very specific files. One of them said

Crime: George Harold Suer was a hall guard. He was informed by the queen that she wanted him to stay exactly one foot away from the palace door. But guess what, after he took his 2 minute break, he forgot his spot and stood 1 feet, two inches and half a centimeter away from the door.

Based on what the file had said, I was guessing this place belonged to a spy math magician. By the last file I knew this place belonged to a spy math magician. One piece of evidence was that there was a file saying a girl named Sue’s crime was that she had gotten an area problem wrong on her homework. When I was reading that file I remembered school. The room was slanted into a roof like shape. There also was an exit door with a ladder leading to it. I was tall enough to go on two steps of the ladder and reach the exit door. I took Moonshine, went up two steps on the ladder, opened the exit door, put Moonshine through the exit door, climbed up the stairs, pushed myself through the exit door and closed the exit door. I was on the roof. I should have known. ‘’ Woof, Woof, Woof, Woof ‘’ I heard from behind me. I turned around and scooped up Moonshine in my arms. I stood on the very point on the roof. With Moonshine in my hands I walked over to a pipe that went all the way down to the concrete floor. I put Moonshine in the pipe and slid myself down. I met Moonshine when I got down. I saw my adajan screaming something. ‘’ Aizada, Aizada come here ‘’. I had to make it look like I was coming from inside the house but I had no time to do that. ‘’ I’m here adajan ‘’

I said running to my adajan. ‘’ Oh, hii sweetie ‘’ my adajan said, turning his head to me. ‘’ Adajan why are you calling me? ‘’ I asked my dad. ‘’ Well, both of us and your apajan have a friend, about 3 minutes away from here. ‘’ my adajan said.

‘’ So what are you saying? ‘’ I asked curiously. ‘’ I’m saying that we are going to their house ‘’ he said, a bit annoyed. ‘’ But what about Alia? ‘’ I whimpered. ‘’ They invited us Aizada ‘’ my dad snapped back at me. I crept over to the car and looked hopefully at my mom. ‘’ Fine ‘’ apajan sighed opening the door. I smiled a little smile at her and hopped into the car. My sister would have sat across from me but instead I saw a bag with my clothes in it. I decided no to look in the bag. 2 minutes later my dad came in holding Moonshine. He turned around in his seat and held out Moonshine. Moonshine was on my lap, looking really happy to see me. 1 minute later my apajan came in and the next minute we were halfway through our ride to my parents friends house. When we got there I asked my parents if they had any children, ‘’ Of course they have children ‘’ my apjan exclaimed. ‘’ How old are they? ‘’ I asked my dad. He didn’t answer. My dad ringed the doorbell. There was a loud noise from inside the house. Out came a skinny good looking woman in a shirt that said ‘’ Hard work always pays off ‘’. Her hair was in a bun and once she saw us she said ‘’ Assalamualaikum, hi ‘’. ‘’ Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barrakala ‘’ My parents said at the same time. ‘’ Assalamualaikum ‘’ I whispered to the lady.

‘’ Come in, Come in ‘’ the lady said with a voice so joyful you couldn’t not go in. I expected to see a big living room but instead I saw a tall girl grinning at me. ‘’ Um… Hi ‘’ I said backing away.

‘’ What’s your name? ‘’ she asked. ‘’ Aa-alia ‘’ I said stammering. ‘’ How about you? ‘’ I asked the girl. ‘’ My name is Muffeda ‘’ she said, acting less energetic than before. I suddenly had a feeling that I could ask her anything and she would still be smiling. There was one question I had in mind that I have been wanting to ask anybody. Then Muffeda looked at me then somebody in my arm. Moonshine. She reached her arm out and to my surprise I didn’t pull Moonshine back instead I held it out to her. She petted her under the chin where Moonshine least liked it. Again to my surprise Moonshine didn’t bark at her instead she clung to her. Muffeda smiled then looked at me and said ‘’ Want to talk? Let’s go up to my room, and maybe after I could give a tour! ‘’. ‘’ Ok ‘’ I said declining Moonshine from Muffeda. After I declined Moonshine from Muffeda, Muffeda randomly started to walk toward the staircase. I decided I should follow her since I had no clue where everywhere was in the house. Muffeda had a big room, about the size of my room which was very big. The room’s window had a beautiful view. There were red roses, yellow tulips,purple chrysanthemums, orange marigolds and all of it was topped off with sweet asylum ( And from what I heard it was supposed to smell very good ). I turned from the window and asked ‘’ What do you want to talk about? ‘’. Apparently before Muffeda had time to answer I answered her own question. ‘’ Can I ask you something? ‘’ I asked. ‘’ Sure ‘’ she said looking at me in the eye. ‘’ I have a sister and she suddenly disappeared ‘’ I said. Normally people would have started laughing but Muffeda looked at me and said ‘’ If you are not lying then this is serious ‘’ . ‘’ I’m not ‘’ I said looking at the floor, fighting my tears. ‘’ I believe you. Now what is your question? ‘’ she asked. ‘’ I want you to help me find my sister ‘’ I said looking up fiercely and ready

for an answer. She merely nodded and said ‘’ I got it all covered ‘’. Immediately after that the parents called from downstairs ‘’ Kids we have some good news then we will eat ‘’. At the same time me and Muffeda dashed down the stairs and into the dining room. Once every child was there ( Me, Muffeda, a young girl and a young boy, the girl’s name was Maryam and the boy’s name was Mohsin ).’’ We are having a sleepover ‘’ said a tall skinny man about two inches higher than his wife. I had to call them Tota Nargiz and Dada Muzzafar. ‘’ Yes! ‘’ I heard Muffeda saying under her breath. I turned to look at her but just as I did I saw a shadow crossing the room. I intensely tried to grab Muffeda’s arm but ended up holding Maryam’s hand. When she noticed my hand on hers she tilted her head to give me a big smile. That was when I noticed that Mohsin started to walk toward where the shadow was. I smiled back at Maryam then whispered to Muffeda ‘’ Come on ‘’. I then sped upstairs to find Muffeda right next to me. She said through gritted teeth ‘’ Why did you just speed off? ‘’. ‘’ We need to follow your brother ‘’ I said walking over to the parents room. There he was. Standing right there looking at something on the floor. It was a box. I gasped. It was the same box that used to be in my house. The one with flowers carved on the top of the box. Before I could reach it Mohsin got it. I don’t know what happened but one minute the box was in Mohsin’s hand the next it was in Muffeda’s. She tossed the box somewhere and fortunately it ended right under my feet. I grabbed the box before Mohsin could and started running. I ended up in the bathroom with Muffeda who was sitting on the toilet seat. ‘’ Open it up! ‘’ she kept saying until I finally gave up and started opening it. It was not really smart of the person who owns this box not to put a lock on it instead they put a ribbon on it.

I untied the ribbon and said to Muffeda ‘’ Are you ready? ‘’. She started to grin then said ‘’ Open ‘’. I opened the box and saw a glistening light inside of it. I walked over to Muffeda so she could see too. I opened the box and before I could do anything Muffeda snatched the glistening thing from the box and verified it. ‘’ I think it’s a coin ‘’ Muffeda said looking at a small circle shaped thing that was very thick in her hand. ‘’ I don’t think it’s a coin ‘’ I said, taking the ‘’ coin ‘’ and examining it. The ‘’ coin ‘’ part was see through and very clear. I looked at the back of the thing and touched the thick part. While holding it I tugged on it. ‘’ Yes! ‘’ I said when the thick part turned long. ‘’ It has a hole in it ‘’ I said looking through the hole. It was a telescope. I handed the telescope to Muffeda and she looked through the telescope. She opened her mouth but couldn’t say anything because that’s when someone called from downstairs, ‘’ Kids, come down here and explain to me why you ran off

Chapter 5

Several things happened at once ….

1: I saw Mohsin looking at me an innocent smile on his face

2: Muffeda was sitting right next to me

3: All the parents were staring at us

4: I didn’t know where the telescope was

5: I didn’t know where Moonshine was

6: That’s all that happened

The one thing I got hyper (the type of hype that happens when you get worried) about was that Moonshine was GONE!. I needed to find her. I tried to lean over to Muffeda and tell her but that didn’t work out so well. After a little bit of my apajan doing ‘’The Glare‘’at me I finally told the ‘’ truth ‘’.‘’We were just getting Mohsin ‘’I said biting my lip hoping they would believe me.‘’Ohh, well that explains it ‘’ my adajan said nodding his head approvingly.‘’ But the only thing I don’t get is why Muffeda has a telescope?‘’ my dad said, eying Muffeda’s stuffed pocket. ‘’ The reason for that is because I used to have a telescope while me and Aizada were in my room before you called us and told us the good news we were digging in my closet. But don’t worry it’s neat now’’ said Muffeda reassuringly. After we ate I raced up to Muffedas room and sped into the closet. About 2 minutes later Muffeda opened the closet door and found me crying.

With a frown she soothingly said ‘’ What’s wrong? ‘’ . I looked up at her and barely managed to say ‘’ Mo - on - sh - in -e - is - lost ‘’. She frowned even more and then closed the closet door and went out of the room. For 2 straight seconds I thought she was a terrible friend when I heard footsteps. Light came seeping in and finally the door was open the first thing I saw was MOONSHINE! . I jumped up with joy and hugged Muffeda who was holding Moonshine. ‘’ Thank youuuuu soooooooooooooo much!!!!! ‘’ I said jumping up and down whilst clapping my hands. ‘’ Soooo what should we do ‘’ I said, swinging my legs back and forth. There was a long silence between me and Muffeda. Luckily someone interrupted. ‘’ Hello kids I just wanted to tell you to put on your pjs so that we will be ready for sleep, and also I wanted to say to Aizada that Muffeda has a bed underneath her bed so you could sleep there ‘’ Tota Nargiz finished smiling at me. Then she gave me a bag with the extra clothes my parents brought here. I thanked her and then she left.

Muffeda had pajamas with different color shapes surrounding it. I had pajamas with a dog on the shirt saying ‘’ HAVE A PAWTASTIC DAY ‘’ . On the pants there were inspirational dog quotes. 5 minutes later me and Muffeda were on mattresses with a pillow under our head and a blanket over our body. The last yawn came from Mohsin who was across the room to his room.

Chapter 6

I winced as I felt a cold pinch on my arm. Suddenly my dream was put to a stop and I woke up. Standing there was Muffeda and on my belly was Moonshine. I bolted up and whispered ‘’ What are we doing!!!!!!? ‘’ to Muffeda. She tilted her head and said ‘’ My plan ‘’ then skipped off. I stood up and started getting ready. Muffeda had already prepared breakfast ( fruits) and I ate and enjoyed it as much as possible. Luckily she also had salmon which she put peanut butter on top of which weirdly Moonshine liked. After we all finished eating Muffeda slowly opened the backyard door, took a deep breath and walked outside. Yes, she was wearing shoes . Before I went outside I took a bag of snacks with me including 4 cans of tuna, 3 energy bars, grapes and 4 bottles of water. Here I was, out in nature trying to act sneaky. When my eyes got used to the dark I grabbed Moonshine’s leash which was surprisingly still on his neck. When Moonshine was in my arms, warmness washed over me and I didnt feel uncomfortable anymore. Instead I felt safe. I felt a tug at my sleeve and saw Muffeda signaling me to follow her. I put Moonshine down but didn’t loosen my grip on her leash. It felt like we walked for 15 minutes, considering that we did not know where my house was. Then everything changed. I saw the mall and immediately knew where to go. We walked on the sidewalk that led to my house. I ran to the front door and squatted down to the mat. If I knew my

parents well enough I knew that they would put an extra key under the mat. Yep! I knew it. I took the key out and stood back up again. I twisted the key in the lock and turned the door handle. Click! . The door unlocked and me, Muffeda and Moonshine stepped inside. That is when I realized something. ‘’ Do you have the telescope? ‘’ I asked Muffeda. Muffeda pulled out the telescope out of her pocket and nodded.

‘’ Good ‘’ I whispered to myself. I led Muffeda upstairs because that is where a lot of mystery came from and I also wanted to show her the secret tunnel. When we got to the bookcase I noticed a book stick out so instead of doing what I did last time I pulled the lever and all of us(Me and Muffeda held on to Moonshine leash ) were transported into the tunnel except this time the tunnel had light. It was very dull but at least there was light. We all walked through the tunnel and then there was something I thought I would never see. . . BLACK DRAGONS! . Me and Muffeda gasped in unison just as Moonshine started to bark ( clearly scared ) fearlessly. Muffeda started to walk over to the dragons, put her hand out and PETTED THEM!!!! . After that the dragon got soft on us and let us ride them!!!. I put my leg around the dragon ( so did Muffeda ) and pulled Moonshine into my arms. I held tightly on the neck of the dragon and then … take off!!!! . Something happened that I honestly did not expect at all. The dragons flew up then …… flew down. They flew down to a piece of cement on the ground that had a black dot. Then they started pushing at the cement until, IT OPENED. The entrance was big enough for the dragons to fly in. Muffeda went first, she ducked her head as the dragon swooped inside. I did the same, hunching over Moonshine so he wouldn’t get hurt. The tunnel was big, long and filled with slimy mud. Good thing we were not the ones to step on the mud.

It turned out the tunnel was VERY long so apparently Me, Muffeda and Moonshine fell asleep on the dragons.

Chapter 7

I gasped as I saw what was at the end of the tunnel. It looked like a place where everything was bright but at the same time it looked like a trash can. Wrappers and rotten fruit were cluttered everywhere you looked. Well, not everywhere. There was a beautiful meadow on a hill about a bus away from the stone brick gates that surrounded the whole city ( which was pretty big ). I tilted my head to see a huge castle covered in black. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Muffeda frowning at something which is when I realized what it was. I could not understand how I did not see it before, it was a huge sign that read ‘’ Castle dungeons ‘’. I patted my dragon’s head and pointed it to the dungeons way. Thankfully Muffeda saw me do it and did the same. So there we were Muffeda’s dragon following my dragon. Moonshine was on my lap looking at the city in a way where you couldn’t tell if her expression was disgusted or curious. The castle dungeon’s sign was really big but there was stuff that was very odd about it such as …

1. There was a door painted on the sign

2. There was no building, just the sign

The huge sign was stuck to the dirt that was surrounding that sign. I looked with shock as I tried to make sense of what was happening. At this point the dragons have apparently gotten bored and dropped us on the sidewalk next to the castle dungeons.

I stood up a bit dizzy on my legs with Moonshine cupped into a ball in my arms. I let her go but like always I gripped onto her leash. I walked over to Muffeda and helped her stand up ( she got dizzy too ). I let Muffed hold Moonshine as I walked to the sign to examine it. About an hour later I realized what it was on the sign that stood out ( literally ). It was the door painted on the sign!!. The only bad thing about it is that no matter how hard I tried to open the door it wouldn’t budge. I sighed then walked over to Muffeda who was playing with Moonshine. She looked up at me and asked ‘’ How did it go? ‘’. I shook my head then plopped down on the floor. Muffeda watched me for a long time then finally stood up and started studying the sign. 15 minutes later she called out to me and Moonshine ‘’ I think I found something!! ‘’ I ran to the painted door ( Moonshine got there first ) and stopped right in front of Muffeda. She showed me to the doorknob, took a deep breath and took out the telescope. She opened it up, turned it to the small hole, stuck the hole inside the doorknob and turned the doorknob. It opened. It finally opened. It felt like a wave of shock just flooded us and made us shocked. Moonshine was the first to step into the spiral staircase that was under the door. I lurched forward, grabbed Moonshine and started walking down the staircase. ‘’ I’m sooooo sorry for what I did, I only meant to keep you safe ‘’ I whispered to Moonshine in a volume that Muffeda couldn’t hear. The spiral staircase was long and tiring, even though about 2 hours ago we were sleeping. All of us started to wobble our knees and our hands got all droopy. Moonshine was barking less and breathing heavily. Just when all of us agreed to have a rest something spectacular happened. We didn’t have to rest anymore, the stairs had turned to a slide. Only Moonshine disliked it.

He threw his paws up and started shaking them. I picked him up and let him ride on my laps. After that he seemed to enjoy more than every one of us. I suddenly felt a cold pinch on my stomach. I grabbed Muffeda so that I could be at the same length as her. She looked at me as if she felt the same thing. I told her about it and she nodded once every sentence I spoke. Then I said something that made her look sick, ‘’ I think we have to be quiet, I think it’s a trap ‘’. She looked at me as if she had just drunk a juice made up of dirt with pepper sprinkled on it. Moonshine looked up at me and started whining. I cuddled him close and told him not to worry. The slide was coming to a stop, me, Muffeda and Moonshine were ready for whatever was going to happen. Nothing bad happened. We all fell into a huge ball pit with balls the color of the rainbow. Moonshine was with me but Muffeda was nowhere to be seen. ‘’ Muffeda ‘’ I called for 5 minutes, until I saw Muffeda’s arm sticking out of the center of the ballpit. Me and Moonshine ‘’ swam ‘’ to her which took a very short time by the way. We were all breathing hard by the time we reached Muffeda. When we were finally at the end of the ball pit we all helped each other out, Muffeda told me how she thought that there were tunnels down there. I told her she must have been daydreaming then I bent down to take off Moonshine’s leash when I heard a speaker turn on and the lights go off. I mingled around until I felt Muffedas arm. I whispered to her ‘’ I’m scared ‘’ as if I was a little girl in the dark with loud alarms going off around me. A booming voice came over all the speakers ‘’ IF YOU WANT TO FIND ALIANA, YOU WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW CLUES. OH AND, ONE MORE THING, I HOPE YOU LOSE THE GAME!!!! BYE ‘’. I shook what just happened out of my mind and thankfully the lights came back on. I bent down to

comfort Moonshine while Muffeda was trying to figure out what just happened. After I put Moonshine to sleep I started to talk to Muffeda. ‘’ What do they mean by game? ‘’ I said, frowning. ‘’ We must have stepped into a reality game of some sort ‘’ said Muffeda. Right then I saw something. An exit door???. I pointed Muffeda to it and she examined it from a distance. After a minute or two she looked at me and shook her head ‘’ We probably should not go there. Look it says, YOU WILL BE THROWN TO THE DUNGEONS IF YOU COME HERE ‘’ . I agreed then looked around suddenly at the back of my brain a piece of important information struck. I looked at Muffeda and asked ‘’ What did you say to me when we got you out of that ball pit? ‘’. Her face turned white as she realized what she had said ‘’ I said, how I thought there were tunnels in the ballpit ‘’. I nodded, picked up Moonshine and walked to the massive ball pit. Then Muffeda asked me something I haven’t considered yet. ‘’ How are we going to get down there?, I could barely breathe when I was stuck in there ‘’ she said, showing the pain on her face. I was inside the ballpit holding the fluffy thick railing that was made out of pipe cleaners. She let out a big breath and jumped into the ball pit. It was as if the massive ball pit knew that we knew that we were supposed to go below the ball pit because it started making a whirlpool. It was the scariest and coolest thing i have ever seen. I held on to Moonshine and Muffeda as the whirlpool started sucking us in. I closed my eyes. I was sweating terribly when I woke up so was everybody else. Which is when I realized WE WERE UNDERWATER!!!!!. I shook Muffeda until she woke up. She rose up and started flapping her MERMAID TAIL!!!!!!. When she noticed this she giggled and started swimming around. ‘’ Woof, Woof, Woof ‘’ I heard behind me. I spun around and

saw Moonshine with a mermaid tail acting like a seal. Me,Muffeda and Moonshine were all in one place studying our tails. Muffeda’s tail was dark violet with a hint of white glitter. Moonshine’s tail was white with blue glitter. My tail was dark blue with light blue glitter scattered on it. I was admiring my tail when I realized what was on my top. It was my pajama shirt. I groaned as I saw the color clash. Finally Muffeda swam up and said ‘’ Lets Explore! ‘’ . I swam up and twirled until I got so dizzy I couldn’t think straight.

Chapter 8

The name of the town is called Mer- dom. The first place we went to is the cloth shop to shop for new shirts. The shop’s name is Mergirls fashion. My jaw dropped as I saw all of the fashion lined up on the different shelves. A merwoman came up to us and we started talking, her name was Melina. The first thing she complemented was Moonshine. She did a belly rub as she swam underneath her hands. Wanting to change the subject I blurted out ‘’ Can you please help us find shirts to match me and my friends’ tails? ‘’. ‘’ Oh yes, follow me ‘’ she said, pulling away from Moonshine. She brought us to a desk and took out a formula guide filled with all the colors that exist. Then she took out a starfish charm. She looked at my tail and picked out the color on the formula guide that matched the color of my tail. Then she told the starfish charm the color of my tail and waited. After a second the starfish shimmered and right before it did anything Melina let it go. The starfish started swimming toward ‘’ Isle 8 ‘’ and when we got there there we saw the starfish lifeless right next to a glimmering dark blue shirt with light blue starfish printed on it. Melina told me to go to the dressing room and try it on. I was about to reveal my look. Personally I loved how it looked on me. It had ruffles on the bottom of the shirt that covered a centimeter of my shirt. I came out and! They all loved it except for Melina. ‘’ You need a bit more pizazz ‘’ she said leading us to ‘’ Isle 12 ‘’. On the shelves were different jewelry. Melina handed me a pair of dark blue, starfish shaped earrings and a pair of dark blue sunglasses or as they call it, sea glasses. I put

them on and gladly, Melina was happy with it. We repeated the same process for Muffeda. She got a purple top with white jellyfish printed on it. She also got a necklace of a white and purple striped jellyfish, and a pair of violet sea glasses. She looked amazing. When we went to the cashier to buy everything we realized that we didn’t have any money. A man came up to us and by the looks of it I am guessing he’s 32. As soon as the cashier saw him she screamed ‘’ OMG ITS SETH SEAWEED ‘’. Seth Seaweed looked at me, Muffeda and Moonshine and smiled a toothy smile. He then took a bunch of coins out, signed them and gave it to the cashier. The cashier took them, melted over them and put it in her TAIL!!. I looked at my tail and put my hand in it. I smiled as I realized it was a pocket. I was going to tell Muffeda after. After I stopped daydreaming, the cashier said to us ‘’ You’re free to go ‘’. I smiled as I put on my sunglasses, held Moonshine’s paw, beckoned Muffeda to come and swam out. I started noticing stuff that I didn’t see before such as mer-families, dolphins, Mergirls shopping. What I was most fanicated about was all of the beautiful nature that covered the ocean. ‘’ What is that? ‘’ Muffeda asked, pointing to a huge hole in the middle of the sea. I gasped as I tried to take in how deep it was. I did something I knew I shouldn’t have. I swam over to the pit and before I could stop myself I was falling. The water was so strong that I could barely flick my tail. I closed my eyes to try to relax but for once I thought this mission was over. I winced as jagged rocks hit my back. I tried to figure out where I was but couldn’t put a finger on it. Then I heard something. Mer-People. I was in trouble. I was laying in the middle of a huge rock pit. They would find me easily. Then I heard something that made me smile. Mer-kids. I stood up and swam toward the pathway

where the voices were coming from. There was an adorable cottage in the middle of a big circle filled with seaweed growing from the ocean floor. I swam to the cottage and knocked on the door. A woman came out, she looked like she had swum for hours. When she saw me she smiled and said ‘’ Welcome come in, come in ‘’. I knew better than to enter a stranger’s home but I couldn’t resist. The cottage had a cozy feeling to it. There was a nice table with four mugs of hot cocoa on it. I smiled as I felt a sense of relaxation crash over me. When the woman saw me looking at the hot cocoa she exclaimed and said ‘’ I’m so sorry, where are my manners, let me make hot cocoa for you ‘’. I squealed in happiness on the inside while I waited for the hot cocoa. Everybody was home, it was great. There were 4 people in the family.There were 2 sons about the age of 5 and 6 ( Jack and Bill ), a dad named Brock and a mom named Jenny. We were having dinner. We were having sweet potatoes and veggies. After we were done we had hot cocoa with biscuits. When the boys were excused I started talking to the parents. ‘’ I need help to get back up ‘’ I said hoping it was possible. ‘’ We do have a way but it’s hard to use ‘’ said Brock. I nodded fighting back tears that I knew were soon to break. When I asked to be excused Brock and Jenny looked at each other and slowly nodded. Before they let me go they said ‘’ There is a room upstairs where you will be staying for the night ‘’. I nodded, gave them a smile and left. The boys were playing pirates in the family room while the tv was playing ‘’ The little mermaid ’’. There was a room on the left of the family room that said ‘’ Guest room ‘’. I opened the door and was happy with what I saw. There was a bed made out of seaweed with a green blanket. There was also a shelf with books that looked like they were supposed to be dusty. I took one of the

books and started reading. About 2 hours later Brock came in and asked me to go to bed. I nodded and swam to the bed. I put the blanket over me and went to bed.

Chapter 9

My sleep wasn’t the best sleep. I woke up with tears on my face. I dreamt about being too late to save Aliana. Then I dreamt about being stranded in this cottage for the rest of my life. I swam downstairs and was pleased to see everybody awake and active. I swam to the table and sat down. Jenny called me and asked if I could help set the table. I did. We were all eating a yummy breakfast. Clams and seaweed. After we were done I asked the parents if they could show me the way back up. They nodded but stressed the fact that it was hard to go up. We were back at the rocky pit again. The parents brought me to a tunnel that led upward. The tunnel had sharp edges that you could use to swim up. I tried to do it. I was almost at the top when an unexpected wave crashed over me and brought me back to where I started. I tried over and over until I found something that helped. A thick yet small rope was dangling in the tunnel. When I swam high enough, I grabbed the rope and held on tight. Like expected a huge wave came in but this time I didn’t fall. Instead I was still holding the rope, almost to the top. I made it!. I finally made it. Since I couldn’t go back down to tell Jenny and Brock. I swam up and decided I would look for Muffeda and Moonshine. I started down at the mini golf park where there were at least 100 mer-people playing. I gave up on that place and kept going. Then I saw something that I thought was helpful. A hotel. I tried to get a list of everyone but the workers kicked me out thinking I was some sort of fraud. I groaned as I spinned aimlessly around looking for something that helped. For the second time help came!!. It was a picture of a mer-lady dressed in green. I looked around, grabbed

some seaweed, wrapped it around me and went inside. ‘’ How are you madam? ‘’ asked a man with a red tail and a mustache. I nodded and said in my best woman voice ‘’ Darling I am your boss’s boss. I have come to ask all of the customers how they are doing. I will need the list ‘’. The man smiled and said ‘’ I will need proof ‘’. I exaggerated on the inside while the man went to get the boss. The boss had a black tail with a beard. He looked scary. When he saw me he fell to the floor and said ‘’ Madam, what is it that you need? ‘’. I was wearing the sea glasses Seth seaweed bought so I tilted them slightly and said ‘’ The list,darling the list ‘’. The boss nodded and rushed to get the list. When he came back I took the list and started looking through it. I looked and looked and looked until I found a name called M & M. I went to the room. Room 78. I knocked on the door and Muffeda opened the door. She looked at me and said ‘’ What do you need? ‘’. Then she grabbed my arm and pulled me inside. ‘’ I am so happy to see you, Aizada ‘’ said Muffeda squeezing me. ‘’ How did you know it’s me? ‘’ I asked. ‘’ Easy, I recognized your tail and your sea glasses ‘’ she said looking around. When Moonshine saw me. She barked loudly and swam toward me. I took her into my arms and said ‘’ I missed you so much ‘’. ‘’ Where were you? ‘’ asked Muffeda, also petting Moonshine. ‘’ I fell into the pit and found a family who took care of me for one day ‘’ I said, then asked ‘’ how did you book the hotel? ‘’. Muffeda looked at me and frowned ‘’ I had to give away my necklace and sea glasses, turns out they are really expensive ‘’. I grabbed my sea glasses and gave it to her. She protested but I insisted. She looked fabulous. Like always blue and purple go great. ‘’ I think we should go? ‘’ I said sitting down on the couch in the hotel room. ‘’ Yeah we probably should go ‘’ said Muffeda

rummaging through the closet. Muffeda gave me my sea glasses and told me to look how I looked before. We made up a plan. I would first go dressed up the woman I was and then Muffeda and Moonshine would come. I went down to the first floor and went outside to the rest of the mer world. A couple minutes later Muffeda and Moonshine came out. Out of nowhere I saw a figure swimming over to where the mini golf was. For some reason I had the urge to follow the figure. Sadly I couldn’t resist, I swam intentionally to the mini golf park. Muffeda threw me questions about why I was going there and the only thing I said was ‘’ Figure-Mini golf-must get there ‘’. Muffeda shrugged and swam with me whilst holding Moonshines leash. Like before the mini golf was packed. Surprisingly I recognized the figure immediately. Apparently the figure knew I was chasing it and started swimming away. I followed it and soon got closer to him. He had a red tail and a mustache. Could it be?. The man from the hotel. He was and what surprised me even more was where he went to. A sunken ship. The name was Titanic. I bit my lip and tried not to cry. I watched the Titanic movie and it broke my heart. Coincidentally I could tell Muffeda watched it too. She silently cried as I swam toward the ship trying not to make a peep. The ship was almost broken apart, only held by a thick coat of moss and seaweed. I swam to the ship’s deck and noticed a hole in it. I signaled Muffeda over and she swam over with a ball of fur in her hands. I smiled at the furball, Moonshine and pointed to the hole. She nodded and swam in. I swam in after.The inside was pretty much broken. Skeletons were scattered everywhere. It was a sad sight. We were upstairs so we swam downstairs to a dirty‘’ room ‘’ that in the movie was made out of real gold. I swam to the corridor which led to the dining room. There

was a chest that was dull. I swam to it then shook on the lock. It was so weak that it turned to dust in my hands. I sprinkled the dust and opened the chest. Inside were the original blueprints of the Titanic. I took them and put them in one of my mer tail pockets. I kept swimming until I reached the end of the corridor. By now I was starting to get cold so I swam back to Muffeda and Moonshine to hold them tightly. There were a lot of rooms but not enough time to explore each and every one of them. The corridor came to a close. Me, Muffeda and Moonshine swam back to the main ‘’ room ‘’. I sat down at a stair step with a circle symbol. After a couple of seconds the circle symbol sinked into the ground to leave a hole in the stairstep. The stair step raised higher until it became a cave. I swam off the step and onto the ‘’room’’. Me, Muffeda and Moonshine swam into the cave. The cave winded into a dungeon. Whispers were everywhere. The water was so cold that I wouldn’t be surprised if I couldn’t move anymore. The dungeon had big cages everywhere. There wasn’t much light only enough to see your way. I swam to a hallway that had a lot of big cages. The whispering became louder as I got closer. Muffeda was cuddled up on a bench trying to warm Moonshine. I gripped one of the cage bars and shook it. The merperson inside came up to the light. It was a boy who looked about the age of 6. He had eyes that looked like he had cried all day. He asked ‘’ Who are you? ‘’ to me. ‘’ I am going to try to get you out ‘’ I said trying to find the keys. I thought to myself that maybe the hotel man took the keys with him. I got an idea that kind of boosted me up. What if Aizada was here?. Nope if Aizada was here she would have heard me. I screamed to the whole room ‘’ I will be back ‘’. Then I swam off. I heard Muffeda and Moonshine behind me. I

was still in the same room but farther from all the big cages. There was a big soundproof box in the corner of the room that I went inside to think about. The box suddenly twirled and whirled until everything went white. I barely opened the door and stumbled outside. It was shining outside and I was finally a human again. I put my hands in front of my face as if I expected a burst of water would come out and wake my dizziness. Suddenly a burst of water shot out from my hands. My face was soaking wet but that didn’t matter. Water shot out of my hands!!!. How could I think about my face being wet at a time like this!!!!. I tested it on the grass in front of me that I finally saw. It worked. Water came out of my hands and onto the grass. ‘’ Hi ‘’ said someone behind me. I looked around to see Muffeda sitting there letting Moonshine run free. ‘’ Hi ‘’ I said back walking toward her. I sat down next to her. ‘’ I have powers ‘’ I said grinning. Muffeda looked at me as if I was a little child telling a lie and she was the mommy. I put my hands in front of me and thought of a huge water wave. The water crashed out of my hands and onto the grass. Muffeda smiled and said ‘’ Cool ‘’ then she said ‘’ I wonder what powers I have ‘’. She stood up and put her hands in front of her. Nothing happened. Then out of nowhere Moonshine started floating. It was Muffeda who did it. She looked surprised. With her hands she brought her down. I squealed as I hugged Muffeda. She looked happy too. ‘’ I have physic powers and you have water powers ‘’ she said running around the big grass field. I asked Muffeda if she could levitate Moonshine and bring her here. She nodded and did it. I held on to Moonshines leash as we all walked around the field trying to find humanity. We came across a girl with a completely red outfit. Muffeda walked over to her and said hi. They started talking and

eventually Muffeda introduced me. The girl’s name was Ashlyn. Her power was fire. It explained her outfit. Then I noticed something. It was her hands. They had gloves on them. Her gloves weren’t the pretty red that the rest of her cloth was. Instead it was the color of ash and fire. Mostly ash. When she saw me looking her eyes started filling up with tears and soon she started crying. I asked her what happened and she started leading us. We went through a couple of stores and that’s when we stopped at one. It was called ‘’ Hot food deli ‘’. We walked toward the store but right when I thought we were going to go in we made a left and went into a dark street with a fence at the end of it. We climbed over the fence and were standing in front of a playhouse/shed. Ashlyn led us inside. When we got inside she put on the lights. We could finally see. There was a table stretching across the whole room. There was all types of stuff such as food, art and books. Most of the artwork was girls with fire shooting out of their hands. Most of the books were about how to control fire. There was also a big book that shows how to control any power. The book had a chapter for each power. I walked to the book and opened it. I looked over the table of contents and found water power. I flipped to the page, 53. The chapter started off with the basics. It showed how to shoot water out of your hands and how to control that water to make it a synchronised small wave. I took a piece of paper from the desk and stuck it inside the book. I walked over to Ashlyn who looked grateful that I hadn’t asked her what happened yet. She looked sad when I asked her. We all got curled up on a fluffy carpet with beanbags. She started telling her story...

Chapter 10

‘’ About two years ago I started going to a boarding school called Powerkingdom la Boarding school ( this city’s name is Powerkingdom ). I learned how to control my powers and everything. The only thing I didn’t learn was how to make a wildfire. Not that I wanted to kill a city. I just wanted to know in case of an emergency. I started trying to do it. I researched that book that you ‘’ she pointed to me ‘’ we were reading. I tried and tried for several weeks. One day when I was trying I burnt the book, then I burnt the field. Soon the whole city was burnt down. The only thing left was my playhouse/shed. I regretted doing that from the day it happened. People know me as the Burner. I wear these gloves to force myself to stop using fire. The end. ‘’. She stood up and said ‘’ You can sleep here for the night. I will somehow make it comfortable. She walked out of the playhouse/shed. Soon she came back with blankets and pillows. I had learned how to do a synchronised small wave and a water circle ( which was a protection circle made of water ). Muffeda learned how to lift up people and animals. Ashlyn made the beds and soon we were all ready for bed. In the middle of the night I woke up. I heard a bang on the door. Thankfully the others were already awake. The door broke and in came a man with a crooked face. He had a toothy smile and eyes that looked fake. Turns out his power was mind reading. He was also very short like a dwarf. I laughed inside my head forgetting his power was mind reading. He read my mind then yelled at me.

He was very loud. He took one step toward me and grabbed my leg. ‘’ Get off me ‘’ I said trying to punch his face. Muffeda jumped up and lifted me up and away from the man. I thanked her then made a water circle around me, Muffeda, Moonshine and Ashlyn. I stepped out of the circle and made a big synchronised wave. The wave got the man soaked. He held out his arm pointing to Ashlyn. Ashlyn started to walk toward him. She walked out of the bubble and next to his side. Then Ashlyn turned into a girl with blonde hair and rainbow clothes. I gasped. She was a traitor. The man read my mind and laughed. ‘’ You can’t trust everyone you meet silly girl!! ‘’ he said. I went back into the water circle where Muffeda was holding Moonshine. Suddenly Moonshine jumped out of her arms and ran toward the man. She bit him on the leg and started to shake it. During that I ended the water circle and me and Muffeda used our powers to fight the girl. Muffeda brought her up then slammed her to the ground. I made a big synchronised wave over and over again shooting it at her. She turned into a cat and ran away. Fortunelly Moonshine didn’t chase after her. The dwarf man ran away with the cat ( girl ) with a bleeding leg and a scarred arm. I high fived Muffeda and gave a belly rub to Moonshine. I realized that I couldn’t celebrate now that I knew there were people out for us. I made a water circle surrounding all of us and we went through the doors and behind the playhouse/shed. Behind the playhouse/shed was a forest, we walked toward it. The forest led to a beautiful garden with all types of flowers. I exclaimed in delight as I ran toward the garden and all the animals that were enjoying it. Muffeda and Moonshine joined me. Moonshine ran around while me and Muffed petted the animals. There were all types of animals, deer, reindeer, bunnies, birds and even a HORSE!!.

The horse came running toward us. Its body was bright white but its tail and mane was sky blue. I smiled as the horse ran toward me. The horse was very loud until it saw me. It trotted toward me and sat down. I petted its mane. I noticed it had something on it. On its reins was a name. Aizada. I gasped, how could it be MY name. Suddenly another horse came running toward us. Its body was bright white but its tail and mane was violet. It did the same thing ‘’ my ‘’ horse did. It sat next to Muffeda and Muffeda started petting it. She had the same expression as my face when I realized my name was on the reins.She showed me and I nodded and said ‘’Same to me ’’.Suddenly I remembered something. I beckoned my horse to stand up. I did. I asked Muffeda to do the same. She did. Once both of our horses stood up and I looked under both of them. Muffeda’s horse was a girl and mine was a boy. I asked muffeda if she could bring back Moonshine and she did. I held Moonshine and held the reins. I got ready, counted down out loud and on three me and Muffeda said ‘’ Hya ‘’. The horses started running through the forest. Soon it started to snow. The snow stopped halfway from falling to the ground. Apparently Muffeda’s horse got tired of the snow and decided to stop it. An idea had hit me. Me and Muffeda should name our horses!!. I told Muffeda the idea and she smiled ‘’ I already named her ‘’ she said ‘’ her name is Riana ‘’ . I liked the name. I smiled and shakily gave a thumbs up. ‘’ I name mine’s Zepher ‘’ I said. Muffeda smiled and gave me two thumbs up ( she was levitating herself ). She reached out to hold Rianas reins then put herself gently on her back. We came to an opening with two paths. Muffeda suggested the right so I went along with it. Zephyr and Riana were now running so fast that I thought they beat the record of how fast electricity moves. I pulled back on

the reins to ask Zepher to stop but he just kept running. Muffeda tried the same but Riana wouldn’t stop. I thought something was seriously wrong so I put a water shield around me and Zephyr. Based on movies psychic people could make protective shields around themselves and other stuff ( living and dead ). I told Muffeda this and she tried and tried. On her fourth try she made a glitchy protective shield around her and Riana. Soon it calmed down and became a good protective shield. I tried to and did connect both of our protective shields into one. Then Muffeda and Riana did something that shocked me. They lifted all of us up. I looked at Muffeda and noticed Moonshine whimpering in Muffedas jacket. I told her everything was all right and gave a little rain to her ( she enjoyed it ). She calmed down and started trying to catch the rain. Muffeda didn’t mind. She was glad that I was doing it. I made it rain a little more than stopped. I looked up and saw a bunch of clouds then I looked down and saw black floating things. I warned Muffeda and she started changing direction. I asked her if I should flood them and she said no. We moved and moved until we were above the city of Powerkingdom. It was beautiful, I could see people walking their pets, families playing tag and a lot of other stuff. Then I saw something that made me gasp. It was the man and ‘’ Ashlyn ‘’. The man had a bandage on his scarred arm and a wrap of white cloth on his leg. I told Muffeda and she just smirked and laughed. I laughed too. We were not in any danger anyway. Zephyr started shaking his mane and I was getting concerned so I put my hands on his back and let water flow on his body. He seemed to enjoy this. But then again he would start shaking his mane. It started to get worse. He would shake his body. By this time Riana was doing the same thing. I looked at Muffeda with worry

and she bit her lip and nodded. They were coming. The floating black things. Muffeda handed me Moonshine and I gripped onto her very tightly. I looked behind me and gasped so loudly that Muffeda and Rianas protective shield faded. ‘’ Sorry ‘’ I said making a water protective shield around all of us ‘’ you and Riana have to focus on carrying us up ‘’. Behind us was the black floating things. Now that they were close I could see what they were. Black and different colored horses. I looked at me and Muffedas horses and thought ‘’ Oh, our horses are white and a different color but those horses are black and a different color ‘’. A black and red horse came up in front of the pack and started shooting fire flames at us. I turned around on Zephyr ( with Moonshine ) and started to shoot water back. I had another great idea. What if I can make a water boost for us to go faster. It would be like the fire on the back of a rocket but instead of fire it would be water. It didn’t work. The water shooted at the black horses,they got mad and started charging at us. Since that didn’t work I decided to try another idea. I would make a rain cloud above them all to drive them away. It didn’t exactly go as planned. The black horses got so mad that you could feel their jaw clenching. All of them were pushing their way to get to us. I urged Zephyr to go faster and Muffeda told Riana the same thing. Once again the horses were running so fast that I thought they beat the record of how fast electricity moves. The black horses eventually got so tired they slowed down. ‘’ Thank you so much ‘’ I told Zephyr petting him. He neighed and flipped his mane. I smiled and hugged him. Muffeda told Riana great job and smirked when she flipped her mane and neighed. Muffeda changed her position to sitting on the side of Riana facing me. She still held the reins with one of her hands. I did the same. I kept

making it rain on the black horses until they retreated. I threw my hands up and cheered. Then I made a little river in my palm and gave it to Zepher to drink. Once my hand was practically licked down I took my palm away from Zephyrs mouth and took it back. I rubbed both of my hands together to create water to wipe out the ‘’ spit ‘’. Muffeda started playing with our floating system. We were bouncing up and down. At first I thought Muffeda and Rianas powers were failing but Muffeda reassured me that it was just a treat for Riana. I nodded and smiled. Then I asked Muffeda if we can now go back to the forest. She nodded and said ‘’ Only for now ‘’. I thanked her and asked Zepher to go down. Then I asked Muffeda if she and Riana could psych us down. Muffeda nodded and told Riana who neighed and flipped her mane. Riana and Muffeda brought us down while me and Zephyr relaxed. When we were down on the ground again Riana and Zephyr trotted until we arrived at a huge round building. The door was a barn door. Riana and Zephyr ran through the door and started running around wildly when we got in. ‘’ Riana, Zephyr your back ‘’ a voice said behind us. I looked behind me and saw a man with a tuxedo,black pants and a cane. I looked at his face and realized how wrinkly he was. He had white hair too. ‘’ Hi ‘’ I said, getting off from Zephyr. ‘’ What is your name? ‘’ the man asked smiling. The man looked like Donald Trump with Joe Biden’s hair. ‘’ Aizada ‘’ I said ‘’ what is your name? ‘’. ‘’ David Coy ‘’ the man said reaching his hand out for a handshake. I hesitantly took it. Muffeda got off from Riana and walked over here. ‘’ What is this place? ‘’ she asked looking around. ‘’ It’s David Coy sanctuary,‘’ David said, still smiling. ‘’ What is the difference between black horses and white horses? ‘’ I asked. ‘’ Dark horses are evil and white horses aren’t ‘’ he said, his smile

fading. ‘’ Do you want for me to give you a tour? ‘’ the man asked, making it sound like a demand instead of a request. ‘’ Okay ‘’ me and Muffeda said at the same time. ‘’ Good ‘’ David said smiling again ‘’ let us begin ‘’. We started outside. There was the biggest field ever with lots of obstocale poles in it. There was also a garden with a fence around it. It had all types of food in it. Then we went inside the building. There were all types of rooms. Turns out that kids lived here too. They had their own horses that they took care of. I asked David if we could stay and he nodded and said ‘’ Great I have extra rooms ‘’. I smiled and thanked him. After we saw the whole building ( three floors ) David offered us food. Me, Muffeda and Moonshine jumped up. ‘’ Whoof. Whoof ‘’ said Moonshine running around. David led us to the cafeteria where he showed us a table where we could eat. The ‘’ cafeteria ‘’ actually looked like a restaurant. It was also a buffet. It was AMAZING!!. They had cushions on the chairs and it was the perfect temperature. We came at lunchtime so there were a lot of kids there. When Mr.Coy announced we could now pick our food all the kids got up and started rushing to different isles to pick food and chatting with their friends. I raised my hand for Mr.Coy to come and he did. I told him if it was okay to let Moonshine stay and he said YES!!. Muffeda and I took a plate from a table with silverware. We walked around until we found food that we liked. When we got back to our table we reviewed what we got to eat. I got noodles,shrimp,cheese sticks and a blue powerpuff(basically a power drink to boost your power). Muffeda got sushi,vegetable salad and a purple powerpuff. Moonshine had fruits only such as sliced apples, blueberries, sliced bananas, blackberries, slices of kiwis, oranges and cranberries . We ate our food hungrily and in 10 minutes flat we were

all done with our food. We then were allowed to eat dessert. Icecream!!!. When I got there I realized you are supposed to eat the color of ice cream that is the considered color of your power. I got blue ice cream, Muffeda got purple ice cream and Moonshine got white ice cream. After all the people in the whole cafeteria were done eating they all stood up and went out the door to the biggest field ever. Everyone took their horses and we all practiced for races. After twenty minutes Mr. Coy asked all of the kids to pick a kid to race with. Then we all formed a line and waited, and waited, and waited. When it was our turn Muffeda asked Mr.Coy if he could hold Moonshine ( by the leash) until we were done with our race. ‘’ Three, two,one ‘’ the referee ( his name was Mr. Sharp) who was at the edge of the field counted down. Riana and Zephyr raced each other going as fast as wind. The field was about 3 miles long. Riana and Zephyr jumped over all the bars. When Zepher jumped over one of the bars he did it perfectly except that his leg got scared and he went a lot slower. Sadly Riana and Muffeda won and Zephyr had to go to the animal hospital that took up one quarter of the whole building. The vet who was named Mrs. Sharp ( the referee’s wife ) got a bottle of povidone - iodine and walked over to Zepher who was sitting on a huge mattress. She took a cotton swab stick and put some of the povidone - iodine on it. Then she asked me if I could calm Zephyr while she rolled the cotton swab stick with the povidone - iodine on the scar. As soon as he started rolling the swabstick on the scar Zephyr started to neigh and shake his head. I petted his head with hands that were very wet. This only helped a little. He stopped shaking his head but kept neighing. When it was all done and Zephyr had calmed down, Mrs. Sharp put a bandaid on the scar and asked me

not to race him. She told me that I could ride him just not too fast. I smiled and thanked her then I motioned Zepher to stand up. He did. I thanked her once more, held Zephyrs reins and walked out. Riana and Muffeda were standing outside. ‘’ Is everything good? ‘’ she asked, looking worried. ‘’ It’s great ‘’ I said showing her the bandaid on Zephyrs foot. Riana walked around Zeher and kept neighbors. Zephyr would neigh back every once in a while. It was adorable they were talking to each other. I got up again and we all walked back outside to the field. Everybody was staring at me. It was a nightmare. I walked with Zepher to Mr. Coy. He inspected Zephyr’s injured leg and told me it wasn’t severe. I asked him if I could go for a ride with him for now. He said ‘’ Yes sweetie but please don’t ride too hard and there is a trail right over there that you can use that leads back here ‘’ he said pointing to a trail covered on the top by trees and covered on the bottom with grass. ‘’ One more thing don’t go over the trees,you and Zephyr must be covered ‘’ Mr. Coy said. I thanked him, told Muffeda and went to the trail. The trail was hidden way on the edge of the field. I rid Zephyr there. When we got there I got off him and opened the doors that were stabled there. Zephyr and I trotted inside then I slowly closed the doors. It made a soft Clink. I got onto Zephyrs back and he started running. When he got too fast I told him to slow down and when he got too slow I asked him to go a little faster. Apparently I fell asleep on Zephyrs back while he was riding. I could hear his hoofs clapping against the grass. He was running mildly. I was dreaming about staying here forever and my family living here too. It was a dream that felt so real and so amazing I never wanted to wake up. I did eventually wake up because of Zephyr neighing. At first I was mad at this but then was grateful because we

stopped at a gate. This was the end of the trail.I opened the gate and saw that it led to the garden. I sighed. The trail actually did end up back at the sanctuary. I got on Zephyr and asked him to run back to the field. Nobody was at the field except for the referee who was walking around the field lost in his thoughts. When I asked him where Mr. Coy pointed to the building and said Horse stable. I thanked him and pointed Zepher to the horse stable. He ran there and in two minutes flat was there. The horse stable was surprisingly clean and large. It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. Their horse stable was round. There was a river flowing around a round field where the horses go to drink water. To cross over the water there was a bridge. The rest of the horse resort ( how I call it ) was grass and trees with fruit growing from them. Mr. Coy was under an apple tree with a black and white horse. I let Zephyr go and play with the other horses ( I told him not to go too fast ) while I went to talk with Mr. Coy. ‘’ What’s your power? ‘’ I asked Mr. Coy sitting down next to him. ‘’ Teleportation ‘’ he said petting the black and white horse ( who was laying down ). ‘’ What is his name? ‘’ I asked, touching the black and white horse. ‘’ Tantibus ‘’ he said standing up to get an apple. He got the apple and gave it to Tantibus. ‘’ He’s a very majestic horse ‘’ I said gazing at him. ‘’ He is, now I think we should leave them alone and go somewhere else. Lets make some friends for you ‘’ he said putting his arm around my shoulder and smiling. ‘’ Okay ‘’ I said. ‘’ Be ready ‘’ he said. I didn’t quite understand what he meant until he transported me to the field!!. ‘’ So tell me what do you want in - ‘’ he wasn’t able to finish his sentence. We heard screaming, neighing and worst of all alarms coming from the horse stable. Mr. Coy immediately transported us into the horse stable. Kids were screaming looking for their

horses who were running everywhere. The adults rounded up the horses and gave them to each child. Suddenly in the blink of an eye I knew what was going on.

Chapter 11

Black horses. They were everywhere. There were at least 15 adults in all. 5 were helping everybody get on their horses and get ready to flee. The other ten were battling those evil creatures. I got on Zephyr with Moonshine in my hands while Muffeda got on Riana. The younger kids ( they also have horses ) were getting on their horses. The older kids were helping them. Mr and Mrs Sharp were rounding up all the horses with their kids and asking them to make a protective shield ( everybody knows how to make them even the young ones ). Once everybody was done with their protective shields, the adults got on their horses and they started running. It was like a wolf pack running together. Everybody formed a straight line. There were about 75 people all together. Our horses ran until we came to the front of the building. Then we ran even more. Tears formed in my eyes as I thought about Tantibus and Mr. Coy. What if they couldn’t make it out alive?. As if Muffeda read my mind she came beside me and said ‘’ They will come out alive ‘’. I nodded and kept riding. We eventually came to the city of Powerkingdom. Mr. Sharp stayed back with the younger kids and some of the older ones. Mrs. Sharp went with the stronger powered kids to the city including Muffeda. ‘’ Sorry she didn’t pick you ‘’ Muffeda said, giving me Rianas reins. ‘’ It’s okay ‘’ I said kind of feeling left out but happy to be with Zephyr. The grass under us was black and withered so a girl about my age sat down, put her hand on the grass and started humming. The grass around her growed until she stopped. Her horse was green and white. I asked her what its name was and she said ‘’ Her name is Tina and I’m Fiona, nice to meet you ‘’. I told her my

name was Aizada and my horse’s name was Zephyr. I held Riana’s and Zephyrs reins as I walked them around the small, now beautiful field. It didn’t take long for us to be done with the walk. I decided to take a nap so I told Mr. Sharp. He told me he would keep an eye out for Riana and Zephyr for me while I sleep. I thanked him, put a protection circle around me and went to bed under a shady tree. I dreamt of finding Aliana which I realized I was starting to lose hope on finding her. ‘’ Hi ‘’ a voice squeaked further away from me. I opened my eyes and saw a body with a completely red outfit. I was about to shoot water when I saw the face. Everything stopped. Her eyes looked familiar but I didn’t know how. She had a red horse with her. She wasn’t ‘’ Ashlyn ‘’. To prove it she put out her hands and flames burst out coming toward me. I smiled and took the flames out with a burst of water. ‘’ Challenge accepted ‘’ the girl said smiling. ‘’ By the way my name is Ashlyn ‘’ she said, taking off her hoody. She looked exactly like the fake Ashlyn. I had a feeling inside that she was the real one. ‘’ My name is Aizada ‘’ I said standing up. When I stood up I realized that everybody who left was back including Muffeda. Fiona who was sitting on the grass holding butterflies stood up and said ‘’ I will be the referee ‘’. Muffeda stood in the middle of me and Ashlyn. ‘’ Three, two, one, GO!! ‘’ she called stepping backward. The battle began. I made a huge tidal wave at Ashlyn just as she stepped aside and made a huge flame coming at my face at rapid paste. I moved my water wave to the fire a little too late. The fire hit me in the face and gave a little scar. The water drained the fire after so I didn’t get any more scars. We kept doing that until her and I shot water/fire out of our hands. The fire won. We were done with the battle after that. Then Muffeda announced that Ashlyn won and me and

her shook hands. ‘’ Good game ‘’ I said smiling. ‘’ You were really good. You have good reflexes ‘’ Ashlyn said. ‘’ You’re really good at bringing my focus to different places ‘’ I said back pleased at the compliments. ‘’ Hi ‘’ said a voice beside me. It was Mr. Sharp holding the leash with Moonshine on it. ‘’ Hi girl ‘’ I said running to Moonshine. Mr. Sharp let go of the leash and Moonshine came running to me. She jumped into my arms and I stood up. Muffeda speed walked over and petted Moonshine. Zephyr walked over to me and I petted him. I gave Moonshine to Muffeda and she gave him a ride ( Moonshine was flying ). ‘’ Hello ‘’ said a group of voices behind me. Everybody in front of me gasped and everyone behind the group of voices turned around. Tears wet my cheeks as I saw Tantibus, Mr. Coy, and his crew with their horses. Mr.Coy smiled the nice smile that lured me to the sanctuary. I smiled as I looked at all of the adults and felt grateful that they were there. The kids stood in shock until Muffeda moved a couple steps forward. Suddenly all the children raced to hug all the adults. Me and Muffeda joined them. Fiona and Ashlyn hung back. All the horses ( including Riana and Zephyr ) gathered around to graze grass and ‘’ talk ‘’. Fiona ( who was sitting down ) stood up and gave all the adults a circle made out of flowers. ‘’ Thank you ‘’ all the adults murmured to her. Then Mr. Coy looked up and spotted Ashlyn. They locked eyes. Tears started forming in Aliana’s eyes. ‘’ Grandpa ‘’ she said half giggling, half crying. ‘’ Oooh plot twist ‘’ I thought. By now everyone was looking at Ashlyn and Mr. Coy, even the horses were looking. For the first time I realized how similar Mr. Coy and Ashlyns eyes looked. Then a truth hit me. The mystery was solved. The reason why I thought Ashlyns eyes looked familiar was because of how familiar they looked compared to Mr. Coy’s eyes. Ashlyn started

moving toward Mr. Coy. Everybody moved away from the adults and Mr. Coy walked forward. They both stood. Then all of a sudden Ashlyn ran into the open arms of Mr. Coy. When Ashlyn stepped back from Mr. Coy’s arms everybody did a standing ovation. The horses clapped their hooves against the dirt. It was a happy reunion.

Chapter 12

I did the math in my hand. There were 75 kids and 15 adults. There could be five kids with one adult. It was just an idea but I told Mr. Coy anyway. He pursed his lips and nodded. ‘’ That could work ‘’ he said. I smiled and nodded. ‘’ But I think it would be best if we stuck together or at least had 10 kids and 2 adults ‘’ he said. I hung my head and nodded. ‘’ Okay ‘’ I said cheerfully, hoping that Mr. Coy wouldn think I was sad. ‘’ Get on your horses ‘’ Mr. Sharp said. Everybody walked to their horses, took the reins and got on them. After I got on Zephyr I told Zephyr to go to Muffeda. He did. I told Muffeda about Fiona and she nodded. ‘’ Okay let’s find her ‘’ she said nodding her head. When we found Fiona and Tina ( her horse ) our horses galloped over to them. When we got there we found Fiona and Ashlyn talking. Fiona and Ashlyn were on their horses who were fighting over a patch of grass. ‘’ Hi ‘’ said Ashlyn and Fiona at the same time. ‘’ Hi ‘’ me and Muffeda said at the same time. ‘’ What are you guys talking about? ‘’ asked Muffeda. ‘’ We were talking about ummmm… horses ‘’ Ashlyn replied. I could tell they were lying. ‘’ Okay spill it ‘’ I said in my you-better-tell-me-or-else voice. ‘’ Fine. We were talking about the pros and cons of our powers ‘’ Ashlyn said looking cross. ‘’ Why did you want to hide that from us? ‘’ Muffeda asked. ‘’ I don’t know ‘’ Fiona said lifting her shoulders and hands indicating she didn’t know. There was an awkward silence then Fiona started giggling. We all started giggling. Soon that turned into laughter. After we were done with our laughing cacophony we started talking about the pros and cons of

our powers. We also complimented each other’s powers. ‘’ Your water makes plants grow ‘’ said Fiona grinning at me. ‘’ Thanks, your power helps the environment ‘’ I said back. ‘’ Your power is useful for battles ‘’ Ashlyn said to Muffeda, making a villain face. ‘’ Thanks ‘’ Muffeda said back smiling. ‘’ Yours is really good for starting fires and for battles ‘’ Muffeda said complimenting Ashlyn back. ‘’ I know ‘’ said Ashlyn flipping her hair in a sassy way then burst out laughing. Finally we all became quiet and looked around us. People were staring at us as if they had a sandwich in front of them and it was talking. ‘’ Oh no ‘’ I thought my cheeks burning red. I looked at Muffeda, Ashlyn and Fiona and saw that they all had the same face as me. Thankfully a voice called out. ‘’ Come on ‘’ called Mr. Sharp ‘’ Stop being slowpokes ‘’ he said demandingly. Everyone turned toward him and finally that staring was done. Mr. and Mrs. Sharp got on their horses, so did the other adults. Mr. Coy got on Tantibus and almost immediately fell asleep on him. All of us had to get into a line and start riding. The adults knew about Zephyrs bad leg so they put me in the back. Muffeda and Riana were in front of me because Mr. Sharp requested it. I gave Mr. Sharp a thumbs up and he smiled and nodded. Wow! Adults sure do nod a lot. It was time for Zepher to run. The horses ran and I felt a happiness bomb explode in me. I was riding a handsome horse and I had powers. What more could I ask for?. Other than I wish my family was here and we were living here. ‘’ Muffeda ‘’ I called to Muffeda. ‘’ What is it? ‘’ she asked, not turning around. ‘’ I think we should get back to the mansion ‘’ I said feeling determined. ‘’ Okay ‘’ said Muffeda. Even though Muffeda couldn’t see me I smiled and thought ‘’ Thank you for being my friend ‘’. It felt like we had been riding for an hour. I started questioning where

we were going. I closed my eyes and gently put my head on Zephyrs head. With Moonshine in my hand for once I could relax and think of a plan.

1. I had to find where Aliana was being kept

2. I had to convince the person to hand her over

3. I had to bring her home along with Muffeda and Moonshine

Easy right?. It can’t be that hard. ‘’ AIZADA WAKE UP!!!! ‘’ I heard someone calling to me from a distance. I woke up embarrassed that I had fallen asleep. ‘’ Who is it? ‘’ I said sleepily and lazily. ‘’ Me, Muffeda ‘’ Muffeda yelled, sounding mad at me for sleeping. ‘’ What happened? Why are you so mad? ‘’ I called to Muffeda. ‘’ You turned us to a different route, and I had to follow you ‘’ Muffeda said, emphasizing heavily on the word had. ‘’ Sorry ‘’ I said sarcastic. ‘’ Don’t you show that - ‘’ Muffeda said but couldn’t finish. ‘’ AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ‘’ we both screamed. ‘’ Roof, Roof ‘’ Moonshine barked. We were going down a slide, except it was different. Instead of sitting on something we were standing and falling. Zephyr and Riana were gone and the only one left was me, Muffeda and Moonshine. We were falling for a long time. Suddenly we stopped and landed on dirt and leaves. ‘’ Uhh ‘’ I groaned but was surprised when it came out as ‘’ Aoooooo ‘’. Muffeda tried to say something but it came out as ‘’ Purrrrrrrr ‘’. I looked at myself and tried to gasp. I was a wolf. Then I looked at Muffeda. She was a black panther, I could barely see her. I looked to Moonshine and saw that she was still a dog. Phew!. At least somebody is familiar. I looked up. The slide thing was gone and

instead there was a cave. I slowly started walking outside of the cave. Shortly after Muffeda followed me along with Moonshine. It was even darker outside of the cave. Immediately I realized something awesome about my vision. I could see in the dark!!!!. It was awesome. When Muffeda came out she started running everywhere. ‘’ I can see in the dark!!!! ‘’ she said. I stopped in my tracks. Did she just talk, IN ENGLISH!!!!. ‘’ You can talk ‘’ I squealed, jumping up and down then stopped myself. ‘’ I can talk ‘’ I thought.‘’ Rrrrrr ‘’ I heard coming from Muffeda. She looked at me with her emerald green panther eyes. ‘’ I’m just hungry that’s all ‘’ Muffeda said. ‘’ Your nocturnal, and so am I ‘’ I said to Muffeda remembering all the research I did on nocturnal animals for school back when I loved animals. ‘’ Cool ‘’ Muffeda said ‘’ but also weird. ‘’ Tell me about ‘’ I said ‘’ We need to get us some food ‘’. Muffeda nodded and started speed walking. ‘’ Roof, Roof ‘’ barked Moonshine sounding like she wanted to get our attention. ‘’ Sorry!! ‘’ I said to Moonshine, walking to her. When I got to her I sat down and asked Moonshine to come on my back. She barked and got on. I flinched as her paw claws dug into my skin. It didn’t hurt that much though. I got to Muffeda and we started running. At first it was awkward and hard but then I got used to it. We were far into the forest when we heard an animal scuttle across the grass. Muffeda heard it first. She took a very light step forward and immediately the animal stopped. Muffeda whispered to me ‘’ It’s a racoon ‘’. Thankfully the raccoon didn’t hear. Or did it. ‘’ Please don’t eat me ‘’ the racoon said. I smiled, at least we were not the only ones who could speak. ‘’ What’s your name? ‘’ I asked the racoon. ‘’ My name is Daniel ‘’ the racoon said ‘’ and if you haven’t figured out yet I am a boy ‘’. ‘’ I knew you were a boy ‘’ said Muffeda with gritted teeth. Daniel saw

and backed away ‘’ Whoa I don’t mean trouble ‘’ he said. I looked at Muffeda and gave her the why-did-you-do-that look. She looked back at me and gave the I-couldn’t-help-it look. I sighed and said ‘’ Okay you win ‘’. She nodded and started walking toward Daniel. ‘’ What are your names? ‘’ he asked pacing side to side as if he had to pee. ‘’ My name is Muffeda, the wolf is Azada and the dog is Moonshine ‘’ Muffeda said. ‘’ Okay, now if you don’t mind I am going to bring you to the rest of the nocturnal animals ‘’ Daniel said, getting on all four paws. He started walking toward branches with leaves that looked like a waterfall. Daniel held the ‘’ waterfall ‘’ and pushed it aside to reveal a cave big enough a lion can walk through it.

‘’ Come on ‘’ he said walking inside the tunnel. Me, Muffeda and Moonshine walked inside the tunnel. Unlike all the tunnels we have been to, this tunnel was short. The tunnel ended with another waterfall thing. Daniel pushed it aside and walked forward. We all did the same. In front of us was a cozy home for nocturnal animals. It was actually covered with stone to protect from any wild birds. All around the place you could see nocturnal animals prowling the grounds waiting to go get some food. ‘’ Okay everyone bring Brooke, IT’S TIME TO HUNT!!! ‘’ Daniel said. I nodded and smiled then my face went pale. A bunch of leopards came out with a red fox in the middle. ‘’ Ready to hunt? ‘’ Daniel boomed. Everybody started cheering. I gulped and backed away. The leopards started moving forward until they were two inches away from me. They didn’t look at me, just stood. ‘’ Three, two, one lets go ‘’ Daniel said. Immediately everybody bustled into the cave and started running toward the outside of the cave. When everyone was out, they split into groups and started searching for food. I had to

go with the wolf pack while Muffeda was with the black panthers. Moonshine had to stay back with all the strays and Daniel. We all got ready and started to look for food. All the wolves crouched down and looked at their prey. Sleeping deer. I felt so bad for the deer because soon we were going to eat it. I was also disgusted. Unlike all the other wolves I was really a human that didn’t want to eat a deer that was probably very dirty and covered with flys. All the deer were sleeping and were not aware of us there. The biggest wolf of the pack took a step forward and suddenly one of the deers ears pricked up. Then the deer stood up and started yelling ‘’ Wolves, Wolves run, protect the kids ‘’. All of the deers woke up and started running. The baby deer woke up and started running even farther. All the wolves got up and started running toward the deer. The deer started to fall one by one. In all there were 4 deers up for eating. All the wolves seemed happy and kept some for storing. I got the most deer since I was new. I started by nibbling then realized how yummy it was and took big bites. I left some for the others, not wanting to be greedy. All of the wolves took happy bites as if they just found out that they won the lottery. ‘’ AAAAAAAAAAAAA ‘’ screamed something from the caves. All the wolves hustled up and started running toward the caves. When we got there I saw everybody was there. Apparently the screeching noise came from an owl and it meant we had to come back. Daniel was sitting there with 5 baskets at his feet. One by one the leader of the packs came up with all the leftovers they bringed. All the 5 baskets were filled to the rim by the time we were done. Daniel went into the cave and single filedly the groups went in. When we were in the cave we got to do whatever we wanted. I decided to explore the ‘’ house ‘’. As I walked around ‘’ the house ‘’

Muffeda and Moonshine joined me. There were all types of stuff such as obstacle courses for the animals with wings. There were also lots of small caves that you could sleep in and snuggle in. There was also a lot of grass and trees where you can graze and run around. There was also a huge pond for the animals that like to swim. Another feature was a river that ran through the grass so that you can drink whenever you want. As we looked around it was getting lighter and lighter. Soon half of the sun was up and all of us got into bed. All the spots were taken so eventually me, Muffeda and Moonshine had to sleep in the caves that led to ‘’ the home ‘’. I got onto the rocky floor and layed down. Surprisingly it was comfortable. I was awake for a while until I couldn’t take it anymore. I stood up and quietly walked to ‘’ the actual house ‘’. Fortunately Muffeda and Moonshine were so tired that they couldn’t hear me. I walked into the ‘’ home ‘’ and started aimlessly walking around. It was bright, you could tell because the light was slowly seeping into ‘’ the home ‘’. I walked around and ended up drinking from the river. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something glistening. I tilted my head up and started walking towards it. The glistening came from inside the crevice of a big jagged rock. I licked the crevice of the rock hoping the rock would get slippery and the glistening thing would come out. Soon the rock got slippery and the glistening thing started slowly coming out. After a little while the glistening thing came out. It was a bracelet. I took the bracelet by mouth and went back to my sleeping place. When I got there I layed down and started sleeping. ‘’ No, stop it ‘’ I yelled running away from the other wolves. ‘’ You are a traitor, GIVE IT BACK ‘’ they said back. I fell onto the grass and

at that moment I was food. I woke up, my fur sweating and me scared. Muffeda was awake and asking me what happened. I couldn’t answer. I don’t know what happened.

Chapter 13

We were all eating our leftovers from yesterday. I got to have a semi-big piece of the deer’s back. Each bite I appreciated saying that I was eating a fawn ( baby deer ). Muffeda was eating a half of the back of a wild boar. Moonshine was nibbling on some fish Brook the fox managed to catch in water. After food we all had to split up into groups so we could catch some more animals. That was how it worked. One night we would get food and save leftovers so we could eat the leftovers the next night. After I was done eating and was finally going to join my group and realized I had to get the bracelet. I told my group to give me 2 minutes and took off without them answering. The silver bracelet was at the same place I left it. I looked around and found some holes in the cave and some rocks. I hid the bracelet in the hole and covered it with a big rock. Then I put a leaf next to it so I wouldn’t forget where it was. After that was done I went back to the group and told them I was ready. Most of them rolled their eyes and got in line. The leader started running and soon everybody including me were running. I sighed quietly. ‘’ This process again ‘’ I thought, feeling sick. This time we were hunting elk. The elk were laying down, their big horns facing forward. To make up for the two minutes I wasted I stepped forward first. I quietly stepped to the biggest elk in the group, said a silent prayer and bit him. As I bit the other wolves joined in. By this time the other elk started getting up and running away from us. Most of them looked back as if they were

running away from their parents. Maybe they were. I regretted eating the biggest elk and after a few bites I stepped back and tried not to cry.

‘’ AAAAAAAAAAAAA ‘’ screeched the owl from the caves. I got into line and waited for the others to come. After everybody was in line and the leader was in front we started running back to the caves. When everybody was there the same thing happened. Daniel had a couple of baskets in front of him for leftovers. This time I noticed more things about the baskets such as: labels and size. For the smaller animals the baskets were small and for the bigger animals the baskets were big. The leader of the pack ( he had the leftovers ) walked forward and put the leftovers of the elk in the basket. The leader of the black panthers then walked forward and put the leftover in the basket. While the animals kept doing that and Daniel praised everyone I was worrying about the silver bracelet. When it was all finally done we went into the caves. I went to the back of the line so I could check on it. Luckily the wolf pack got in last so there was nobody behind me. I walked to the rock with the leaf next to it and used my nose to nudge it out. After the rock was out I looked into the little hole and there it was. The silver bracelet. I bent my head so I could try to get the silver bracelet out when I heard a rustling. I looked up and thankfully Muffeda was there. She walked over and I told her about the silver bracelet. After I told her I looked at the bracelet. It was glowing. Muffeda got the bracelet on her nose and started walking. ‘’ Where are you going? ‘’ I asked Muffeda. She didn’t answer so I asked again. This time she answered. ‘’ It’s leading me somewhere, I can’t stop ‘’ she said, still moving. I catched up with her and started walking. When we got out of the cave we started speeding up. We walked for about 20 min until we got

somewhere. A tree. It wasn’t a normal tree though. The tree was pink with yellow flowers ( not bloomed ) growing on it. The yellow flowers were coated with silver glitter. The silver glitter was the same exact color as the silver bracelet. Muffeda put the silver bracelet on the tree and what happened next was astonishing. All the yellow flowers bloomed and inside them were blue flowers. It was the most beautiful sight ever. I walked to the tree and put my forehead to the trunk. Muffeda did the same. After a couple of minutes we heard a familiar sound. ‘’ Roof, roof ‘’ Moonshine barked. She ran to us then saw what we were doing and did the same. Immediately glitter swirled around us and we were transported somewhere else. I rolled my eyes and laughed. This was starting to get familiar. When we were on land I looked around. We were in a forest. There was only one thing weird about it, all the trees were very big. I looked down. Bugs were very big. I was about to groan in disgust when I saw their adorable faces and how they kept waving to me. I smiled and waved back. I put my hands out and looked at them. I had to close my mouth so I wouldn’t scream. I was tiny!!!. Fairy tiny. I looked at my left and right. On my right was what I thought was Muffeda. On my left was a dragonfly. ‘’ Muffeda is that you? ‘’ I asked looking to my right. ‘’ Yes!! ‘’ Muffeda said, walking to me. I studied her then started cheering. ‘’ You and I have wings!!! ‘’ I exclaimed. ‘’ Cool ‘’ she said, fluttering her wings. ‘’ Were fairies ‘’ she said flying ‘’ And I think that’s Moonshine ‘’ she said pointing to the dragonfly. ‘’ Only one way to find out ‘’ I said then called out. ‘’ Moonshine is that you girl? ‘’ I called out. The dragonfly nodded and came over. Moonshine was multicolored. All her colors were pastel and light. Her colors were light green, light yellow and light blue. I stood up and looked around me.

Like always I was blue. Muffeda like always was purple. I fluttered my wings and tried to fly. I went about six feet in the air but ended up falling. Luckily Moonshine caught me. Moonshine flew down and ‘’ asked ‘’ Muffeda to come on. She did. Moonshine flew us up and then signaled us to get off. I took a deep breath, fluttered my wings and flew. Occasionally my wings would hurt a bit and I would fall. ( I always caught myself ). Muffeda did a bit better. She fell less than me. After a while of practicing to fly we got on Moonshines back and she took us on a tour. In the sky we could see a lot of fairies along with down below we could see the breathtaking land. All around there were pink, gold and silver trees. We got lower enough to see little houses on patches of grass throughout the forest. All around us fairies greeted us, smiled or waved. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and let myself enjoy it. I opened my eyes and flyed. Muffeda did the same. Moonshine followed us around supervising us while we flew around the forest. It was really fun getting to fly. I flew as much as I could knowing it wouldn’t last. I looked over at Muffeda and she looked like she was doing the same. I flew around enjoying my time until I saw a hummingbird. I froze, my wings still fluttering and slowly moved to the hummingbird. I reached my hand out and touched its beautiful self. The hummingbird’s head turned toward mine and shrilled. ‘’ Rrrrrrrrrrrrrr ‘’ she shrilled sounding so cute I wanted to pinch her. She was so adorable I couldn’t let my eyes anywhere else. I smiled and said ‘’ Your so cute ‘’ to the hummingbird. She closed her eyes and smiled. Then she opened her eyes, lifted her head and flew away. Muffeda and Moonshine flew over to me. ‘’ A hummingbird!! ‘’ she exclaimed grinning. ‘’ I know isn’t it cool!!! ‘’ I said, sharing the same excitement. Moonshine started swirling and twirling

around us. Weirdly Moonshine froze and started at something. ‘’ What is it girl? ‘’ I asked Moonshine, fluttering by her side. Moonshine didn’t answer, she just stood there staring at something. I pointed my finger at the direction she was looking at and asked if this was the way she was looking at. She nodded without taking her eyes off of whatever she was looking at. I looked at my direction and froze then Muffeda came over and asked if we were okay. She looked at my direction and stood watching what me and Moonshine were. A big shiny silver castle. Muffeda looked at it and after a while laughed. ‘’ Your paralized because of a castle ‘’ she weezed through her continuous laughing. Finally I turned toward her. ‘’ It’s beautiful, ‘’ I said, trying to look mad. It didn’t last. I started smiling like a maniac. ‘’ Why are you smiling like that? ‘’ Muffeda said, trying to stop laughing. ‘’ That’s what happens when I try to look mad ‘’ I answered. ‘’ Weird ‘’ Muffeda said back smiling. ‘’ Tell me about it ‘’ I said trying to get Moonshine to come back to ‘’ life ‘’. After a while she shook her head and looked at us as if she hadn’t just experienced being paralyzed.

‘’ Are you okay? ‘’ I asked Moonshine. She looked at me then then the castle, turned to the castle and flew there. ‘’ Wait up!! ‘’ I said urgently, flying there. Muffeda followed. When she reached me she put my hand on my shoulder and told me to calm down. I said ‘’ Okay ‘’ and slowed down a bit. Muffeda shook her head and with a smile she said ‘’ I said calm down not slow down ‘’ then she dashed toward the castle. I laughed and did the same. When we got to the big shiny silver castle Moonshine finally snapped out of it and was acting normal again. I looked up and saw the castle was even bigger down below then high above. The castle was located on a huge patch of grass next to a

pond. I walked over to the castle door and knocked. A guard with a black and red uniform came out. ‘’ What do you want? ‘’ he asked looking me straight in the eye. I gulped and said ‘’ We just want to meet the majestys ‘’ I said. The guard burst out laughing. ‘’ Okay, okay ‘’ come in ‘’ he said after he stopped. I gave him a funny look and he just started laughing more. I looked around at the amazing castle before my eyes. Moonshine whizzed around taking a look at everything she could. We all froze when a lady came down the stairs. She was wearing a bright pink and her wings even looked pink. She smiled when she saw us. ‘’ Hi!!, how are you? Welcome!! ‘’ she said, hugging both of us and petting Moonshine.

‘’ Hi ‘’ Muffeda said first ‘’ you must be the queen ‘’ she ended . ‘’ Why else would I be here! ‘’ she exclaimed. ‘’ Honey come down here and greet these guests ‘’ she called. Soon enough a man came down. He was wearing bright red and a big grin. ‘’ Guests!! ‘’ he said, walking toward us with open arms. Literally. He bear hugged each of us ( except for Moonshine, he just started treating her like a baby ). ‘’ Would you like to eat? ‘’ he said rubbing his bushy short beard. I nodded and answered happily ‘’ Yes please ‘’. ‘’ Okay then ‘’ said the queen clapping her hands. ‘’ Bring the food out ‘’ she called. ‘’ Go sit at the dinner place please ‘’ she said pointing to the dining room. I thanked her and flew there. Me and Muffeda ( Moonshine had to go outside to the garden where a lot of insects were and because of that we had to move to the patio ) were outside getting seated at the table. We were seated and ready to eat. Moonshine was already hunting for insects to eat. Everybody was there. Me, Muffeda, the king and the queen. Before we knew it the time to eat had rolled around. In front of us were dishes filled with food such

as bread and salad. The king started then we all dug into our food. My first bite was amazing. The salad was perfect. By the look of it Muffeda thought so too. She was the first to say something.

‘’ This is the best salad ever ‘’ she said quickly wanting to eat more. The queen nodded and said ‘’ our chefs do cook best ‘’. Then she clapped her hands together and all the chefs came.

‘’ Since you also made these guests pleased, each of you will get your own rooms ‘’ she said. All the chefs murmured thanks to her then flew off into the castle. After we were done eating me and Muffeda got up and thanked the royals. They smiled and said ‘’ Happy to help ‘’. I then turned around and flew to Moonshine. When I got to her I said ‘’ Time to go ‘’. She nodded and flew back to the table. ‘’ Do you want to stay over for the night? ‘’ the queen asked while we were walking into the castle. ‘’ Sure ‘’ I said brightly. Muffeda nudged me and whispered ‘’ What about Aliana? ‘’ she asked. ‘’ Relax, we can ask the queen for help ‘’ I answered. Muffeda bit her lip and hesitantly nodded. I flew a bit up and patted her on the shoulder. ‘’ Don’t worry ‘’ I said. I flew back down and catched up to the queen and Moonshine. I looked back and saw that she hesitantly flew over. We went upstairs ( which was huge ) and the queen showed us to our rooms. My room was cozy and blue whilst Muffeda’s room was cozy and purple. In the rooms were big beds and a nightstand next to it. The nightstand for me included a lamp, a couple of books and a hairbrush. My lamp was in the shape of a blue rose. Muffeda’s was a purple lily. We also each had a bathroom with a shower, a sink, a toilet and a bathtub. After we settled into the room we got out and started a tour that the queen

promised to take us on. We started upstairs since we were already there. The upstairs was very big and there were even more floors. In all there were 5 floors in the whole castle. As the queen showed us around I noticed something. The entire second floor was dedicated to guest bedrooms and bathrooms. In fact the majestys called the second floor the guest floor. All the rooms when not used were white and the reason why me and Muffeda’s room was blue and purple was because somehow they collect flowers with every color in the world. Then they take each petal, turn it into dust and put it into pens which can change the color of anything. Even a room!!. Muffeda nudged me and I looked up. Then she whispered ‘’ She CAN help us ‘’. I stood jaw open until the queen moved into a room and kindly asked us if we could come in. I nodded and flew straight in. Moonshine was already in there with the queen and Muffeda before I got there. In the room I got an eerie vibe as if there were ghosts in the room. The room was filled with cauldrons, bottles with potions and cobwebs. Moonshine was huddled close to Muffeda and when she saw me she flew over and huddled close to me. ‘’ She told me about your situation ‘’ the queen said pointing to Muffeda.

‘’ How great ‘’ I said half mad, half relieved. She looked down then faced us with angry eyes

‘’ I am also a foreigner, literally ‘’ she said. I put a confused expression on my face to show her I didn’t understand. She nodded and started explaining. ‘’ When I was young I lived in a place called North Carolina where it was said that every home led to different worlds beyond our imagination. My house was in the middle of North Carolina and it was said that the house had access to many worlds including this one. The house was

huge and had a big tree next to a statue of an animal ‘’ she said. I nodded, taking everything in and then in one split second I knew which house she was talking about. My house.

Chapter 14

Muffeda looked at me and turned pale as if because of seeing my face she realized which house the queen was talking about. ‘’ Ma’am ‘’ Muffeda said and before she could say anything else, the queen raised her hand and said ‘’ You can call me Eliza ‘’. Then she put down her hand and let Muffeda speak. ‘’ Suddenly Mrs. Eliza, the house you are talking about is the house my friend here just moved into, ‘’ Muffeda said. Mrs. Eliza’s face started to soften and soon she smiled. Then she kept going with her story. ‘’ One day when I was exploring the house my cat was taken. I started desperately searching for her. I came across a secret door and when I went into it, it led me to a trapdoor in the floor where I went inside and came into a different world. There was a map and I got to pick a world. Obviously I decided on the fairy world as I was a little girl and was obsessed with fairies. I tapped the hologram fairie world and suddenly I was transported to the world. A couple of years passed and I was now a grown woman. Because of my acts of kindness, I was selected as queen. Since I am now queen I cannot leave. ‘’ she ended. Then she looked at us with tears in her eyes. ‘’ I can never see my family. I also cannot find my cat who has probably died by now ‘’ she said quietly. Then slowly the tears came pouring out of my face. I bit my lip trying not to cry but I couldn’t keep it in. For the first time ever I saw Muffeda crying. When she saw me she smiled and nodded as if to say that she lost the challenge to not cry in front of me. When Mrs. Eliza saw us, she burst out laughing. ‘’ When my brother and sister were doing prank wars that was their face ‘’ she said her cheeks red because of her laughing.

I smiled then asked ‘’ How can you help us with our situation? ‘’ . Her face darkened the slightest bit and said ‘’ Yes, we NEED to focus on your problems, I don’t want you to end up in a different world away from your family ‘’. She walked over to one of the shelves in the room and got a potion labeled ‘’ Where? ‘’. Mrs. Eliza then walked over to a cauldron on the left side of the room and poured the potion in. She told us to come over and get a spoon while we were at it. We did what she asked. She took the wooden spoon out of Muffeda’s hand and started stirring the potions in the cauldron. Soon the cauldron started bubbling up and then it turned black. It was so black it looked like a part of a cauldron. Mrs. Eliza got a cup and poured some of the black substance inside. Then she gave the cup to me. ‘’ Drink it ‘’ she said ‘’ It will tell you where your sister is ‘’. Before she handed it over Muffeda stopped her and asked ‘’ I am responsible for her and I am much older.So why can’t I do it? ‘’. Mrs. Eliza looked her straight in the eye and softly said

‘’ Because you’re older ‘’. Muffeda looked a little confused but she let it go. Mrs. Eliza handed me the cup and said ‘’ The more you drink the more information, this will show you where your sister is ‘’. I took the cup, took a deep breath and drank it. Immediately my mind went blank and the only thing there was a huge spooky castle. Next to the house was a telescope and the sky was dark blue. From inside the castle came children’s screams and banging against metal. Then I heard a cackle. Chills climbed up my spine. This is where Aliana is?. I started crying like a little girl. This house was my biggest nightmare. All of a sudden I was shot back out to the fairy world. ‘’ Where is she? ‘’ was the first thing I heard. It came from Muffeda. ‘’ At a dark spooky castle with a

BAD witch inside ‘’ I said trying to tell myself it isn’t real. ‘’ Do you know where it is in the castle? ‘’ Muffeda asked. ‘’ I’m guessing the dungeons? ‘’ I said. Muffeda nodded ‘’ Okay ‘’ she said. ‘’ What were the surroundings? ‘’ she asked. ‘’ The only thing I saw was a huge telescope next to me and the sky was dark blue ‘’ I said thinking back to the vision. ‘’ Okay ‘’ Muffeda said looking like she was processing all of it. I knew how she felt. I looked behind Muffeda and saw Mrs. Eliza. I walked over to her and hugged her. ‘’ Thank you ‘’ I said kind of fluttering off the floor. She smiled and patted me ‘’ Your welcome ‘’ she said. I got off her and fluttered to Moonshine. She was buzzing around the room. I put a hand on her and she very quickly stopped. ‘’ Hi girl, ‘’ I said, happy to be back with her. She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back at her. Then I hugged her and walked over to Muffeda. ‘’ We need to go there ‘’ Muffeda said when I came back. I nodded and asked if Mrs. Eliza could come over. She did. I asked her ‘’ Do you have a potion for transportation? ‘’. She nodded but sadly said ‘’ But it is really hard to make. I mean really hard. Only a small amount of fairies could do it. ‘’ she said. I dropped my head and nodded. ‘’ Can you at least try? ‘’ I asked. Mrs. Eliza nodded and walked over to one of the shelves. She picked up a tiny bottle called ‘’ Transportation ‘’ and poured it into a different cauldron that was on the right of the room. After she put the potion in the cauldron, she got a box. Inside the box was a bunch of leaves. She took two different types of leaves and poured them into the cauldron. The cauldron bubbled then turned into the color of pure white. Mrs. Eliza took a bit of the combinitain and put it into a cup. Before I said something she drank a quarter of the potion and immediately disappeared. After about 5 seconds she came back smiling. ‘’ It works ‘’ she said and for

the first time she started jumping up and down, clapping her hands. ‘’ Can I try? ‘’ I asked, putting my hand out for the cup. ‘’ Okay ‘’ Mrs. Eliza said ‘’ but let me tell you the instructions first ‘’ she ended. ‘’ First you need to say where you want to go, next you have to drink three sips of it and last you have to wait for a minute ‘’ she explained. I got the cup in my hand, said ‘’ Big black castle with a huge telescope next to it ‘’, drank exactly three sips and patiently waited. After about a minute I vanished from the castle. My eyes were closed and I was starting to get impatient to see if it had worked. I opened my eyes and peeked out. ‘’ Oh ‘’ I said disappointingly. I was still at the castle in the same room. Muffedfa, Mrs. Eliza and even Moonshine also looked disappointed. The smile that Mrs. Eliza had a couple of minutes ago was completely wiped off of her face. Muffeda looked a little sad but I knew she was trying to smile and be a bit positive. It didn’t help. Moonshine had stopped buzzing around the room and was now on the floor doing nothing. ‘’ You’re still a good potion fairie ‘’ I said to Mrs. Eliza who looked like her heart has just been crushed. ‘’ No, I’m not, you don’t have to feel sad for me ‘’ she murmured back. ‘’ I’m not, I’m just telling you that for a queen you are a very talented witch ‘’ I said. ‘’ Mmmhm ‘’ Muffeda hummed. I looked at Muffeda. She looked like she was thinking hard.

‘’ I’ve got it!! ‘’ Muffeda said ‘’ We need to find the map with the worlds ‘’ she exclaimed. I took this into consideration. ‘’ That might actually work ‘’ I said slowly. Muffeda smiled as if she was a worker and her boss just gave her a higher job with more money. ‘’ But how do we get the map? ‘’ I questioned no one in particular. ‘’ Time travel ‘’ all three of us said in perfect sync. We each faced each other, our mouths hanging. ‘’ Great minds

think alike ‘’ Mrs. Eliza said, laughing a bit. ‘’ But how do we go back in time? ‘’ I asked, slightly confused. ‘’ The potion is easy to make but not easy to use. You have to be very careful with it. One change in the past can affect the future massively ‘’ Mrs. Eliza said. I took this into consideration and was about to ask if there was a different way until a small voice in my head told me that what if that change could get Aliana back. ‘’ Let’s do it ‘’ I said following the little voice in my head. ‘’ If you say so ‘’ Muffeda said hesitantly. ‘’ We still have to be extremely careful ‘’ Mrs. Eliza said who got a nod of approval from Muffeda. ‘’ Okay ‘’ I said sarcastically but still agreed to it. Without saying anything Mrs. Eliza walked to one of the shelves on the right and took a potion labeled ‘’ Time ‘’. Then she got a potion labeled ‘’ Travel ‘’ from the same shelf and took it to a table. Once the 2 potions were on the table, Mrs. Eliza got the closest cauldron ( it was used for the’’ Teleportation ‘’ potion ), took them to a piece of wall with a gray dot on it and pressed the gray dot. Suddenly a sink came out. Mrs. Eliza turned on the sink and put the cauldron in. ‘’ You have a sink in the wall. Why? ‘’ I asked, kind of hypnotized by the water rushing. ‘’ I need to wash stuff all the time, I have to drink water all the time and sometimes I even have to use water for my potions ‘’ Mrs. Eliza replied, still scrubbing the cauldron. ‘’ Okay ‘’ Muffeda said before I could. I said it shortly after she did. After Mrs. Eliza was done washing the cauldron, she flew back to the table and put the cauldron on the table. She poured the two potions in and then whizzed her hands around the cauldron. Pink glitter came out and then Voila, the potion was as pink as done. Mrs. Eliza poured it into four cups and gave us each a cup. She gave the last cup to Muffeda so she or I could feed it to Moonshine. ‘’ First you have to think about

Everything spun around me and by the time It was done I was so dizzy that I could barely fly. I opened my eyes and looked around, I was in a car along with the Muffeda, Mrs. Eliza and Moonshine. ‘’ Eliza Becker, stop your siblings from fighting again. Will you please ‘’ boomed a male voice. ‘’ Okay daddy ‘’ replied a girl ( that sounded a lot like Mrs. Eliza said ). ‘’ Jonah, Mary stop fighting ‘’ the girl said. I flew up. Suddenly I realized where we were. We were in the back whilst the family was in the front. There were three kids and two parents up front. The mom was driving the car and the dad was on a phone. Mrs. Eliza flew up and smiled when she saw a certain girl. ‘’ How cute I look when I was young ‘’ she exclaimed, mesmerized by her young self. I looked to my right and saw Muffeda observing everybody. Then I found myself observing everybody. Mrs. Eliza had one braid that was on her right shoulder whilst Mary had two pigtails (one on both sides of her hair). Jonah had messy hair that was all over the place.
