Eddy lived on a big farm.
He took charge of caring for the chickens.
Eddy loved counting all of his chickens, and collecting their eggs.

Some eggs were white.
Some were brown.
And some even had freckles.
But they all tasted delicious!

Eddy loved sharing his eggs with his friends and family.
He filled baskets everyday with dozens of eggs for everyone to enjoy.

They turned the eggs into omelets, and cakes.
The chickens loved sharing their eggs and meeting the neighbors.

One Morning Eddy hopped out of bed, like he does every morning, and fetched the tin bucket to feed his chickens.

When he saw a giant egg had grown right through the roof of the chicken’s coop.
Eddy couldn’t believe his eyes!
All of the town gathered to see Eddy’s giant egg for themselves.
Eddy even got his picture in the local paper with his unbelievable egg.

Days had passed by, and the egg stood tightly in the walls of the chicken coop.
Eddy worried that his lovable chickens were crowded.
They were sleeping outside of the coop and no longer laying eggs.
Eddy ran to his family for help.
Everyone worked together to give the chickens back their home. While Eddy dreamed of what to do with the giant egg.

The chickens joyfully trotted back to their cozy nests.
Eddy’s dad hammered at the egg, while his mom gathered the heavy yolk in a fluffy winter blanket.
Eddy’s sisters collected all the baking materials, and his brother gathered wood to make a giant fire.

Eddy and his family mixed the enormous egg together making the biggest pancake the towns ever seen.
Eddy’s parents sliced up the pancake, while his siblings poured homemade maple syrup on top of the fluffy cake.
Eddy even made the front page of the town’s newspaper!
But he was more excited to share this special breakfast with his neighbors and family.
