Join Little Debbie in a backyard adventure while she pretend-plays in a wonderland of dust and mud. This tenacious preschool protagonist proves girls can enjoy the dirt just as much as boys. Her day ends with a big bubble bath, but all that clean won’t stop her from dreaming of muddy mermaids under a night sky.

I have been writing poetry and prose as long as I can remember. I was raised in Colorado, lived in LosAngeles for 13 years and just recently returned to Denver where I raise two determined daughters. They are my inspiration, as I witness their antics in life’s biggest adventure: growing up.

My collection of picture books offers confidence through fun examples. Young girls are capable and deserve to pursue any interest, within or outside of social norms. Each picture book has rhyming phrases between 200-300 words long. The pictures carry the story for younger children while some of the language extends to the kindergarten crowd. The illustrations give identity to strong, female protagonists; exactly what early minds need to be mentored and guided to believe anything is possible!
