The Story

Lazy cannabis addictive server at Golf and Country club in New York is trying to survive through day. In the matter of fact, it is a special day, "Day for men". A day where members of the club brings their friends to enjoy golf, drinks, food and female company. This day brings a lot of fun and extraordinary situations to our protagonist as well.

About the author

I’m Darijo Bosnjak, a freelance writer, filmophile and music lover. Actually, I did not read a lot of books because my first love are movies and I use movies as ground for my writings. I’m huge lover of all kind of writers/directors from the beginning of the cinema, starting from Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Ingmar Bergman, Martin Scorsese to modern masters as Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan,Wes Anderson, Alejandro González Iñárritu, David Fincher, Coen brothers and others. Well, I read a few books from Ivo Andric, Ed Brown, Charles Bukowski, Paddy Chayefsky and George Orewll, but I use movies more than books for writing inspiration.

This novella is important to me because it is my first serious work. I spent six months in States working at Golf club as server and met beautiful people who inspired me to write this novella. I believe content of this novella will make people laugh which is another important thing for me. I like to make people laugh. Everyone who likes comedy, drama and romance may like this novella. I’m under influence of Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese and Christopher Nolan, so, lovers of those authors will definitely like some parts of the story and the way it is written.
