Ike is a private person who earns his pay by designing specialized computer algorithms for a government R&D center. Having reached a point in his solitary life where everything seems to be defined by repetition and routine, he struggles to see the purpose of his job, the world, even his own, ordinary existence.

That is until one night, when an old coworker offers him a promotion.

Longing for something greater, Ike accepts the offer and is introduced to the bizarre and fascinating world of fringe science—and when he and his coworker are inadvertently transported to an alternate, post-apocalyptic version of Earth, the two are thrust into an epic, otherworldly adventure where they find themselves in the middle of an ages-long battle of good vs. evil. Limits are tested, bonds are formed, and as Ike fights to stay alive and protect the people around him, he begins to rediscover purpose in his life.

About the Author:

I’ve been a storyteller my entire life. As soon as I could write, I wrote stories, as soon as I could draw, I drew comics, and as soon as I was strong enough to lift the family video camera, I made movies. Over the years, many of my interests and passions not only evolved, but changed altogether, yet writing--whether it was a movie script, a background story for one of my comic book characters, or a novelette--always remained at the core of those interests and passions.

In addition to having a taste for mystery and action/adventure, I’ve always loved science fiction. Growing up, I read a lot of good sci-fi, and I read a lot of bad sci-fi, both of which inspired me to work on stories of my own. I wrote for much of my childhood, and this led me to writing for most of my adult life. DARKRIFT: ARRIVAL is my first full-length novel; somewhat of a tribute to my favorite sci-fi books, TV shows, and movies, DARKRIFT: ARRIVAL is one of many stories in my head, and is one of the many I would like to share with likeminded sci-fi fans.
