My name is Kevin McGuinness and I’ve worked as a writer, editor and web content person in the nonfiction world for over 20 years. I’ve also written short fiction stories during that time. I finally decided to take the plunge and see if I could write something longer.
The idea for this book came while visiting a friend. Nearby, I found a memorial tower built on the site of one of Thomas Edison’s lab facilities. Soon after, I read about Nikola Tesla and how he’d built a large tower east of New York City. Then I came across an urban legend online about how Edison had supposedly worked on a machine that communicated with the dead.
I thought, what if he’d built such a device but all was not what seemed?
The result is a thriller with elements of retro science fiction and urban fantasy/horror.
