1894. Jackson Westbrook is a family man who just wants to raise his children right, to teach them the values his father never taught him. Yet, he’s also fiercely loyal to his blood and is housing both his brother and his dying father.

When a torrential rainstorm approaches and thick, black clouds block out the sun, Jackson prepares to settle in and ride out the storm. That’s when an antagonistic stranger shows up, asking for shelter -- a man in an all-black suit, with a suitcase chained to his wrist.

As the storm rages on, and as the stranger continues to prod and incense family strife, Jackson realizes there is something else outside the house, lingering in the dark rain. A creature with the potential to kill them all. A wendigo.

What he doesn’t know is that his brother is conspiring against him to seize power in the small house with the stranger. If Jackson can’t contain his brother’s rage, his family will have to contend with a dangerous, bloodthirsty creature.

Dark Rain is both a story about family, about what a father must do to keep his children safe, and a pulse-pounding thriller about evils both human and supernatural.
