Hello,
My Name is Andrew Martin, I’m a writer out of a small town in Arkansas. The idea for the character of Eli Eichan came to me when I was talking to my father about religion and ghosts, neither of which we subscribed to. It’s possible, in hindsight, that my father was hinting at his own death which would come two years after finishing this book. Yes, it’s actually written. It may have some ugly parts, it might need some work, but it’s essentially done.
I’ve been fascinated with the spirit, and I read a book a long time ago that talked about auras, which may have been the seed of which this story was born. However, I can’t really pinpoint the time or place it popped into my head.
I’d love to say the idea came to me while backpacking across the Appalachian trail, or while sitting on the commode meditating, or something more or less witty. Truth be told, I haven’t the slightest idea.
I only remember his name, remember writing a sentence from his perspective that talked about people not knowing how to pronounce his last name.
At any rate, the idea turned into a full fledged character which turned into a novel, a novel which, while complete, may be rough in some areas. That’s where you come in.
I would love to have feedback on any missed spelling errors and overall flow of the book. Obviously if there’s something that could be written a little differently, I wouldn’t mind that too.
