How fun! Every single character, including Roger himself (who I'm assuming in the main character, though it could be shared,) is delightfully suspicious to me.

Huang's wonderfully enigmatic prose creates a brilliant set-up for a provincial mystery, and I love the fact that he's taking inspiration from an ancient folk tale. Can't wait to read more...!
