Renee Robinson is vivaciously writing short stories for children battling childhood disease. She hopes that super heroes like Captain Chemo will bring hope and healing to the children and their families.

We all have a chance to breathe life into our ideas. In my case, I may have a few less breaths than the rest of us, but I certainly have a lot of life left to live and many children left to heal. My wish is to bring a little understanding and a lot of joy to children with childhood disease. In some ways, they are stronger than the adult with cancer. They are resilient. They can go through chemo and yet, somehow they can still manage to smile.

This is not to say tears are not shed. They most certainly are. When the pain from cancer and it’s treatment strike, one cannot help but shed many tears. But when a child is handed one of my books, not only is he reading about his own sickness and treatments, he is reading of joy and hope. Captain Chemo hopes to reach the heart of each and every child. The only way this can happen is through the kindness of good-hearted people.

These books need to be supplied to every children’s hospital, Hospice, treatment centers and any other place which provides care to children with terminal disease.

As I face the end of my life, writing has become a lifeline. Captain Chemo: Out Cancer Out! Is the first in a series of books written for children with terminal illness and disease. I am using my fight to give hope to young cancer survivors.

I’m trying to take some of the fear away and give them some hope. I want to get these books in Nationwide Children’s Hospitals, to hospice and other treatment centers which treat children. I want these books distributed free of charge to children with cancer. I can’t do this without You.

Hope is the biggest help in the face of cancer. It is sustaining me in my battle with stage four metastatic colon cancer.

Together we can give hope to children with cancer while teaching them a little about cancer in a simple and imaginative way only a child can understand. $10.00 will purchase 1 book. $10.00 can bring a smile to 1 very ill child. $10.00 can give parent and child some cuddle time while reading Captain Chemo’s adventures. $10.00 can give some hope, happiness and comfort. $10.00

Currently, I am working on the second book in the Team Chemo Series. It will be called "Blastoff!" This book tells of a tiny rocket magically loaded with Captain Chemo and his team of helpers. The rocket gets injected in a child’s body who is about to have chemo. The rocket goes throughout the entire body in search of the Cancer Monster.

I intend to see this book go to the children’s hospitals and treatment centers to be distributed to the small child with terminal cancer. It will be announced as soon as this book is published and ready to be distributed alongside Captain Chemo, Out Cancer Out!

With your Money

With the funds raised, I will Supply children’s hospitals and other hospital treatment centers with the entire Team Chemo Series and any additional books the hospitals, hospice and other treatment centers are in need of.

I want to fill the needs of these libraries by supplying books about cancer and other disease to the very young child who may not even be able to read and to the beginner ,as it is written in very simple verse.
