Discussion

We need to talk.

First off, I need to say: it’s not you, it’s me. I haven’t been communicating, and I know that has something to do with what I’m about to say.

I found someone else. Her name is Amazon.

That’s right. Cane and Able is available now at amzn.to/2f5Nike, and the Kindle Store.

If you would still to stay in touch, you can join my mailing list at JonMatos.com

If not, we’ll always have Paris.

Greetings from sunny Philadelphia!

The reading at Great Awakenings Cafe went very smoothly! I reconnected with teachers, friends, and my family supported me both in spirit, and in helping me raffle off some of my massive book collection.

This is the first major event for the book, with another planned for this weekend. That'll be part of Bethel Chapel Church's usual fellowship, "Shepherd Group". If you're local, again: consider joining us at 4100 K. Street! I guarantee good food, good company, and, of course, exclusive insight into my novel.

Also, I would encourage you to pre-order, for two reasons: 1) it gets us closer to that mountaintop goal of publication, but, more realistically, 2) it gives me your e-mail, just in case this Inkshares thing doesn't pan out. Worst case scenario: I'll do a bit more design work on my end, and get the book, hopefully for an even better price, on Kindle, Audible, and a to-be-determined Print-on-Demand service.

For now, just pre-order if you can, and / or share this page to help the word get out. Thanks as always for your interest and support, and I'll talk to you again soon!

Greetings, guys and gals, from sunny Philadelphia!

As some of you may know, the Pope is causing quite a ruckus in our fair city. I've had to reschedule one of my readings. (Again, if you're local, it's now on October 10th, at 5:30, at the Great Awakenings Cafe . The address is 1466 E Cheltenham Ave. Be there, or be there in spirit.)

Aside from that snafu, I'm continuing to create content for you folks. Here is an alternative back cover I created. I'd say it's bloody good, (pun intended.)

I also recorded and uploaded to YouTube part two of a series of audio previews. I'm enjoying it so much, I'm thinking of recording my own audio book.

Lastly, as Shakespeare may or may not have said, "the book's the thing!" Please pre-order, to reserve yourself a copy, and help Cane and Able published. I would also appreciate your sharing Cane and Able to reader friends on Twitter and Facebook!

See ya!

Hi Jonathan! I went ahead and pre-ordered a copy of your book because I sincerely love the concept and want to see it succeed! I hope you'll check out my son Robert Wren's book, Ophelia, Doll, and pre-order a copy if it's something you like. It's a dark fantasy. I look forward to reading your book someday soon!

I'm really rooting for this book because I'd love to be able to read it someday. Besides, I love comics nerds - I raised two of my own. ;)

Greetings, faithful followers!

It's Jonathan Matos of Cane and Able, here. It's been about a month since my launch, and I can finally say I have something of a strategy in place for promoting this bad boy.

One thousand is an intimidating number, but it all starts with pre-ordering. And if you're still on the fence, you can check out the audiobook sample I uploaded to my YouTube channel. I plan to do some dramatic readings from the book, so feel free to subscribe over there if you want more updates.

For those local to Philadelphia, (people who may be avoiding the Pope madness downtown,) I'm doing a reading and Q & A at the Great Awakenings Cafe, at 1466 East Cheltenham Avenue. It would mean a lot to see you there!

As always, thanks for supporting my first literary adventure!

Greetings everyone,

Allow me to thank you all for following Cane and Able. Your interest means more than I can say.

As a token of appreciation, here is a sneak peek at the back cover I designed for the book, and a behind-the-scenes video on what it says about the novel.

Best regards,
Jonathan Matos
