Hi everyone, my name’s Adam Wassil, and I’m working on a post-apocalyptic science fiction book (series?) in the vein of things like Gamma World, Samurai Jack, TMNT, with some elements of Shadowrun/Gibsonian cyberpunk mixed in. It’s supposed to be fun, lighter, but geared more toward an adult audience (mostly due to language, subject matter, and violence). Think of it like a novelized cartoon, right?

Bury the Hatchet follows Molly Thatcher, Blue Mahoney, and the cybernetic Sweet Edgar as they run around the radioactive ruins of a futuristic Earth, doing whatever it is they do to pick up cash. It’s a place with robots, men from space, really cool scrapped-out trucks and flying cars and, as you’ll see in the first few chapters above, bird people and banditry. It’s a dangerous place, sure, but I hope it’s not entirely without its charm, either.

If anyone has any feedback about the world, the writing, the dialogue, anything - definitely, don’t hesitate to call out something you liked or check something you didn’t. I’m a big boy, and I’m a person who grows with criticism and discourse. So I’d really appreciate any discussion we can get going, that’s how I learn.

Thanks for giving this project a look! I hope you like what you see, and if you do, but aren’t really feeling this particular piece, feel free to check out my other book, Ashes, Ashes: Stories from the World That Is on Amazon or Goodreads - I’ve got nice chunks of the book available for preview on both, and it’s free to read via the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library.
