I wish I could recall where the idea for this book came about. It has been so long since its inception combined with many rewrites and plot changes that it no longer looks the same as when I first thought of it. However, it is in its final stages of completion. Synopsis:

Gerard Hale is a cadet attending Waddell Academy situated inside Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Upon entering his final year there, he discovers a nearby lake that holds a grueling secret. This secret sends him on a chase across the country for answers surrounding his birth, his parents, and Eugenix, a company shrouded in mystery.

On this chase, Hale crosses paths with a familiar face claiming genetic perfection. They renounce their ties to humanity and set out to wipe them off the face of the planet. Hale must stop them or risk never discovering the truth about himself. The chase heads at a final confrontation that will forever change the nature of Humanity.

Hale is aided by his best friend Sam Reeves and new friend Naomi Moss. Will they be able to stop the destruction of the Human race? Or will the Earth harbor a new species, one more devious and destructive than humans?

This story takes place in current time, and the science may even be achievable in the near future. I wrote this story out of a place of fascination with the science of genetics, but also to explore where this field could really go. I’ll be constantly updating this story so follow it to get the latest updates. I hope will be as fun to read as it is to write.
