The M.D.O. mounted a massive underground operation to assassinate King Edward the 19th and install the M.D.O.’s leader, Duke Lether 3rd, into power.  Several copper stations were bombed and several London officials were assassinated. The message was clear:  Obey St. George or face annihilation.  

King Edward deployed the Military Coalition, around St. George’s Enlightenment Compound, and watched as the M.D.O. ran rampant over his kingdom.  The civil war raged for 63 days until the London militia, together with the Military Coalition, launched a surprise attack, killing Duke Lether 3rd, and most of his general staff.  The M.D.O. fragmented into various religious cults, most of them lost to obscurity.  

John entered into his luminous kitchen and started brewing Chang tea.  

“Liz, how about some music?”  John asked.  He looked outside and saw that the ice had crept its way up the windows.  Elizabeth, a model X9 with Perfect Personality Predictive Programming, was the current name of the house under Housing Code Section C, paragraph 3.  She knew all of John’s favorite things and even things John didn’t want Elizabeth to know…his likes and dislikes, his favorite song to how many breaths he wasted when anxious.  This house, a model named *We_Build_ur(Hou$3)4Fr33.com, was first programmed some centuries ago, in the pre-days.
