When Miari Druiden set out to rescue her parents, she never dreamed that she would end up fighting to save her entire people from corruption and ruin.

The world of Orvia is at war. The elves have shut the borders of their island nation, cutting themselves off from the rest of the troubled world. They think they are safe, with magic and a more formidable navy than the humans.

Overconfidence is never a good thing.

Miari’s parents were powerful, respected mages, but they have been betrayed by agents of a human warlord, captured and imprisoned. She is convinced that if she can find them, they can provide proof to the king that elves are not as safe as they think.

This hasn’t gone well at all so far.

Getting into the heart of the enemy’s lands seems impossible, and to make matters worse the warlord of the human armies has posted a bounty for her capture. Without her parents, she has no way of having her voice heard by the king. Without being heard, the elves will soon find themselves betrayed and destroyed from the inside.

But even one voice can create change. And help can come when least expected.

This is a finished, 118,000 word story that can stand alone, but with sequels in progress and side stories delving into the fully developed world it inhabits.
