James and Rebecca Randolph’s lives are forever changed after meeting and befriending Ethan Thompson, the young co-worker of James.

After the murder and gruesome discovery of Melissa Berkley and Stephen Rickles, the quiet suburbs of Georgetown, South Carolina are shaken to the core as detectives and police are left with more questions than answers.

Shortly after the murders, Ethan Thompson causes a horrendous accident at the Georgetown Paper Mill, which severs the arms of Walter Avery and almost costs him his life.

The following day, detectives decide to follow up with Ethan Thompson for further questioning. Upon arriving at his home, Thompson is no where to be found. Leaving behind only a note, expressing his need to, "Get away." for a while. Detectives enter Thompson’s home and are appalled at what they discover.

As detectives get an inside look into who Ethan Thompson really is, the question of, "Where is he?" weighs heavier upon their chest with each passing second.

After 25 years of silence from what locals termed the GTK (The Georgetown Killer), 3 mysterious murders take place across the country in the span of 7 days, Each similar to the ways of the GTK and each left with handwritten notes claiming to be the GTK.

As James and Rebecca can’t help but wonder if Ethan Thompson might be back, the couple befriends Lee McGaha, a Native American belonging to the Waccamaw Tribe, who together with his Uncle and chief of the tribe, Wes McGaha, teach the couple about the battle between good and evil and offer insight to the spiritual world, which is far more evil than they ever imagined, but far more comforting and transformational than they thought possible.

After a horrifying face to face encounter with the GTK, which drastically alters their lives, James and Rebecca are led along a transformational journey as they come to the realization of who they truly are in the eyes of the Creator. As this new found revelation gives them courage and strength, they along with the McGaha’s and detectives anxiously work to put an end to the GTK’s unpredictable and merciless plans.

Do they have what it takes to win the battle of good and evil?

"All sin begins within and there is no cure without atonement."

-Writing on the wall found at the home of Ethan Thompson in 1989

"Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is. We never find out the strength of the evil impulse inside us until we try to fight it: and Christ, because He was the only man who never yielded to temptation, is also the only man who knows to the full what temptation means-the only complete realist."

- (C.S. Lewis, "Mere Christianity")

"Evil is real - but so is God’s power and love."

- (Billy Graham)

"When a man is getting better he understands more and more clearly the evil that is still left in him. When a man is getting worse he understands his own badness less and less."

- (C.S. Lewis, "Mere Christianity")

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

-Romans 12:21

Hello everyone!

My name is Randall Lane and I am a Christian Fiction Author. I grew up binge watching R.L Stine’s goosebumps and had just about every movie he ever made on VHS. But it wasn’t until the age of ten or eleven that I discovered a Frank Peretti novel titled "Monster" in a rural South Carolina Walmart. Never heard of the man, but thought the cover looked "cool". Needless to say I read the book front to back at least three times that year. As soon as I learned it had something to do with Sasquatch, I couldn’t put it down. I still have that book on my book shelf over a decade later. I thoroughly enjoy reading and writing anything that centers around the supernatural, horror, and mystery genres. I am a huge fan of Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti and aspire to be a successfully published author with stories surrounding similar style and voice.

Matter of fact, going back to Peretti’s "Monster", the first book I ever wrote was about a family from North Carolina who took a cross country road trip in their RV to visit the Avenue of the Giants in Northern California. One morning while enjoying a fishing trip with his two young sons, before planning to spend the day checking out the ginormous Redwood trees, Randy Jacob’s suddenly loses sight of the younger son who has seemed to vanish into thin air.

As authorities are called in to aid with the search, the family quickly learns about the legend known as Bigfoot and are left with no choice but to believe after having an encounter of their own. Hence, "The Legend of Omah" was born!

Now, a few years later I am three quarters of the way through my fifth story and second full length novel, this one titled, "An Evil Within."

I will also be entering my first full length novel in the mystery/thriller competition. It is titled, "The Reaping", so be sure to keep an eye out for it as well. It is about a detective in Portland, Maine who is not only suffering with a past family tragedy, but finds herself in the middle of a string of mysterious murders, that all tend to connect to her family’s dark past. Strange events and sightings of mysterious creatures has the town and all of New England wondering if the end of times has come.
