Poor Desi...with his ship down and out he finds himself on a road trip across North America accompanied by a hippie hold out, a screw up of a would be gangster and a young run away thankful to be anywhere but the street. One of the first anthropologists to our planet Desi tries to remain calm as he chooses to look at his predicament as a chance to connect and learn until his little travelling mess finds themselves pursued by a jerk of a tabloid journalist, the military, drug dealers and the NSA.
Desi and his dust ball of friends attempt to stick together as they guide Moonbeam - an ancient van from the 1960’s that seems to be held together by the love of its hippie owner - thru 350 pages toward New York and the 25th Anniversary of Woodstock.
This story is a loving and heart warming look at....ah, who am I kidding? It’s a jug of milk with its cap coming off at its peak in a street juggler’s show with the crowd directly in the splash zone.
