This story is in the proposal stage, consisting of a synopsis and sample chapters. It’s based on a short story I had published in Analog Science Fiction and Fact. In the 23rd century, people have little face-to-face contact. Instead, they craft "agents" that represent them in cyberspace. Sliding, or riding the currents of network traffic, is a popular pastime.

Tommy Hardlore is a 10-year-old genius, a master crafter of agents set loose in this environment. He’s also a psychopath who wants to extend his reach to the colonists about to leave in Earth’s first generational starship.

I’ve been passionate about both the possibilities of computers and space exploration since I got my first Apple II and understood that those twinkly things up there were stars. But enough about me. Click "Read" above and sample several chapters of the Agent proposal.
