Chapter I

Chapter 1

It was an uneventful Monday morning on the third planet from the star known as Sol. However, this Monday wasn't like any average Monday. This Monday was going to be the worst of them all because of two things. Number one: The Earth was going to be invaded by lizard-people. Number Two: John (our main character) needed to find a new job. John wasn't very good at keeping a job. This was the third job this month he had lost. But that's another story entirely. At this point, John thought that this day couldn't get any worse. That was until his friend, Stan Korrect dashed toward him yelling about an invasion. “Wait a moment, Stan. What did you say?!” John asked confusingly. “Your Earth is about to be invaded!” Stan exclaimed. “Wait, what do you mean by my Earth is being invaded?” asked John. “Well you see-” just as Stan was about to explain, a large number of flying saucers materialized around the entire planet. “Oh crap, They're early!” Stan shouted in horror, glaring up at the sky. Soon enough, the earth became engulfed in terror at the site of flying saucers. As mass panic spread, the largest of the saucers began descending, on it's way down, a large metal door on the anterior of the ship opened and revealed a large screen. On the screen appeared a humanoid lizard-man proclaiming that “The people of earth should just give up, and just let the invasion happen. There is no point in getting all upset about it.” Just as this was said, a few nuclear warheads were shot directly at the ships. The warheads managed to hit the ships, and explode, but the ships didn't show any signs of damage whatsoever. The lizard man continued, “Using any form of nuclear device is ineffectual to our ships, so don't bother.” The screen retracted back into the ship, and lizard-men began beaming on to the Earth's surface.

As Stan saw the lizard-men materialize, he swiftly pulled John by the arm to his car, which was parked across the street. During the lot of this chaos, John admitted to himself, that THIS is how this day can get worse. “Please explain what's going on?” asked John. Before John could receive an answer, laser bolts were fired at the car. “There is really no time to explain this now! Oh, and you might want to get in the car! ” replied Stan. As Stan entered the car, he pressed a button on the radio to reveal a touch screen panel. He quickly typed a series of letters and numbers on the panel. A few seconds later, the car began hovering over the ground. John, at the realization of this, started to have a panic attack. “Calm down, John!” said Stan reassuringly. As the car began to hover, a purplish hole appeared out of thin air where the blue in the sky used to reside, and the car shot inside of it at an extremely fast speed. The only way to describe the inside of the hole is through screams such as “AHHHHH”, followed by “Oooo.. Look at the pretty colors.” After exiting the hole, the car began drifting in Earth’s orbit. “Where are all the Flying saucers?” John asked. “Well... we are in an alternate universe not like yours.” Stan described. “Ok. Next and last question.” John said, “Who really are you, and how did you know that my earth was going to be invaded by lizard men?” John began hyperventilating. “Just calm down, and I will tell you.” Stan handed John a paper bag from the glove compartment, and began explaining his story. “Although I look like an average Joe, I am, in fact, a Humanoid from a planet in a universe that is represented only by the number π. I built this car so that I could escape the destruction of my home planet. It was being pulled in by a nearby star known as Ploktok the very bright.” He continued to explain. “In escaping the planet, I caught a bit of the energy from the star, which sent my car to a universe where there was nothing but a toy truck. I traveled to several other universes. Eventually, I made it to this one. After doing this, I stumbled into a college, which I thought was, at the time, just a place to complain about the universe. I soon found out that it was just that. In going to college, we met in that AV club, but you remember that, of course.” As Stan rambled on, John tried his hardest to explain to him that the car was currently being pulled in by the Earth’s gravity. Stan attempted to control the car, but with no luck. The car quickly descended, crashing down into the earth.
