A Skeleton Key To Twin Peaks is my point of view on what Twin Peaks means as of the airing of Season 3 and the publishing of Mark Frost’s novel The Final Dossier. The book will consist of an hour by hour analysis for each part that is not only an episode guide of what happened, broken down by narrative; it is also the author’s analysis and thinking about what is happening as the series progresses. Additionally, I have broken down the metrics of Season 3 into the exact time spent telling each part of what is arguably the most complex story ever told on television. You will see exactly how long it takes to tell the story of Cooper Returning versus Mr C executing his plan as well as the time and structure of how The FBI Finds Cooper, and several other narratives. It is fascinating to see how Lynch and Frost chose to tell their story, laid out on the page, while the author offers his point of view on what is happening and what it means.

WE ALREADY KNOW THAT "LAURA IS THE ONE," SO WHAT IS NEW WITH YOUR OPINION?

Many erroneously assume that being "The One" is a good thing. In the author’s opinion, it is not at all and this changes Twin Peaks completely in an exciting way that revitalizes all of Seasons 1, 2 and 3 as well as Fire Walk With Me and Laura Palmer’s Diary. It also brings new light to Dale Cooper’s tragic Hero’s Journey.

There will be several breakout essays that grapple with the implications of what this means for the Twin Peaks fan learning to live in a new world that has turned their thinking of the entire story on its head.

Why Are You Donating All The Revenue You Earn From This Book To Charity?

In the Fall of 2017, I invested in learning the Transcendental Meditation technique and it has completely changed my life and opened up new avenues of peaceful joy for me. When I read Bob Roth’s book Strength in Stillness, I was overcome with sorrow and hope for what TM is doing for US Military Veterans returning from active duty, as well as what TM is doing for troubled school children and human beings with addiction problems and who are struggling in the aftermath of violence and personal tragedy. I believe that TM as a technique can help my fellow human beings deal with these deep traumas in a positive way that will not only bring joy back to their lives but will create a better world. Therefore I am dedicating this entire book, which deals with the worst trauma imaginable, to helping alleviate real trauma in the world. It is a selfish act of love that I hope more authors and artists take as inspiration to act on their own for a better world.

These donations will be made quarterly with transparent visibility into number of books sold, revenue generated and amount donated to the David Lynch Foundation.

Who made that amazing art work on the cover image?

That fantastic painted wood art was done by my friend Kent Grosswiler, right here in Columbus, Ohio. I own two of Kent’s pieces, the Cooper you see in this photo actually hangs in my wife’s study and I have an Albert on my wall, something I look at every day and smile. You can find more of Kent’s work at www.kentgrosswiler.com and on Instagram @definitelynottrifling.
