UPDATED SYNOPSIS: "Buffy The Vampire Slayer meets X-Men meets The Cthulhu Mythos, A Sanguinary Rose takes place in a world where myths and legends are flesh and bone. After suffering the negative impact of a vampire’s life, a high school student with a self-esteem that hit rock-bottom embarks on a quest to find the cryptic cure to vampirism, even when paranormal creatures and alien beings of the highest order stand opposed to the idea."

I’m a seasoned writer, storyteller, wordsmith, and tale-weaver. I love to explore all kinds of fantasy and/or science fiction. I thought, what if high school and college became a thrilling supernatural experience, and they involved literally having to survive through homecoming, prom, and graduation, etc., as a member of that diverse paranormal community?

And so it is that this idea came to fruition. This will be my third large-scale project (novel, novella, etc.) A Sanguinary Rose will be YA Urban/Paranormal Fantasy. There will be blood (duh), horror, sexual themes, and cursing. It draws inspiration from Joss Whedon’s popular TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (my favorite show), as well as from his particular snappy writing style. I swear this will go way beyond vampires. I know they’re a tad overused. It also draws inspiration from Lovecraftian mythos, and folklores from all over the world.
