J. S. Chlapowski writes with almost a dreamlike style that slips you into the far reaches of the mind and imagination.  The chapter on the Cat and the Mermaid make you want to ease deeper into the unseen world of our storyteller.

Very good - it whets your appetite and leaves you impatient for the next course.  I am looking forward to reading more of Bryce's adventures!

I've been reading the short excerpts as they've come out and am LOVING this book! So eagerly awaiting the full novel...  I've known Jarrod is a great writer for a while and it's exciting to see his imagination and talent coming out on the page!

I am in absolute awe of Jarrod's writing. The way he can describe a simple scenario with such mesmerizing detail is just beautiful and makes me keep reading. His stories stir up so much emotion and bring me back to special events in my life. This is truly a story that anyone can relate to, no matter what walk in life you are at. I am always excited to read his next excerpt and even more excited for the full book to come out. If you haven't checked out A Light in the Void, do it. You will  not regret it.

These excerpts make me coming back for me. It is truly a book that will capture your attention no matter what walk in life you are in. The detail and the emotion portrayed in this book is just beautiful.
