So now I’m publishing a book about an ancient snake-oil salesman who’s lying (in every sense of the word) in a bed at a local Home For The Perpetually Decayed.  The introduction, at least, I can write for myself, free from the overly enthusiastic blue pencil of an overtly incurious-about-family-member’s-activities man.
