Elsa's writing always holds my interest, and this is no exception.

What a delightful twist on the classic magic of cards! The writing leaves much to the imagination, which really is the best kind. That said, the author seems to have a real gift for snappy dialogue, which gives you a strong characterization without an excess of exposition. A quirky, unique fantasy novel with just enough reality to keep you knowing almost what's going on - a winner, to be sure!
