Very good first chapter.

A Bird's Prey is a wonderful novel with a really compelling protagonist--Travis. I'm looking forward to seeing where this book takes us!

A wonderful look into the mentality of a pre-teen with all the emotions and stifled frustrations of the age help to entrench the reader. This definitely reminds me of some of my friends' younger siblings!

A very interesting start to what will develop into a dark tale of survival.               

I was hooked by the quality of the writing and impressed by the speed with which the author develops his characters. I will follow with interest!

The writing is outstanding, the premise is gripping and you are engulfed into the narrative right from the first chapter. I look forward to where this project goes!

A great start and a very genuine glimpse into the psyche of a young teenager. The plot develops quickly and sweeps the reader along into a darkly reimagined world.
